The Kenneth W. Payne Student Prize is presented each year by the Association for Queer Anthropology (AQA) to a graduate or undergraduate student in acknowledgement of outstanding anthropological work on 1) a lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender topic, or 2) a critical interrogation of sexualities and genders more broadly defined. Submissions are encouraged from graduate or undergraduate students in any of the four fields of anthropology. To be eligible for consideration, work should have been completed while the applicant was still enrolled as a student. Research papers as well as visual media (e.g. documentary film) are eligible for submission for this competition.

The American Indian Medical Scholarship Award Program is being offered to give students of American Indian descent the opportunity to pursue careers in nursing, and jobs in health care and health education. The Morton B. Duggan, Jr. Memorial Education Recognition Award is awarded to a student currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory care education program. Preference given to candidates from Georgia and South Carolina.

The American Respiratory Care Foundation may award up to $1,000 in memory of Jimmy A. Young, past president of the AARC, who personally contributed greatly to respiratory care education. The foundation prefers that nominations be made by a representative of the school or an accredited respiratory training program, however, any student may initiate a request for sponsorship in order that a deserving candidate is not denied the opportunity to compete simply because the school does not initiate the application. The College Completion Programs students are offered a Last Dollar Grant or Book Award. These are need-based awards for Baltimore City public high school graduates whose student aid index and financial aid package total less than the cost to attend college. The CFGNB Suzanne Beckius Scholarships support students who have participated in the Southington Youth Summer Theater and/or Plainville Choral Society Youth Summer Theater and are pursuing higher education. The Scholarship Committee selects recipients quarterly, aiming to award scholarships to women who demonstrate a strong passion and determination for careers in the automotive, mobility, and related fields. The Arkansas Rural Health Scholarship was created by Dr. Rhys Branman to support, empower, and encourage medical students in Arkansas who are interested in practicing medicine in rural areas of Arkansas. The G.B. Mann Scholarship is awarded to current high school senior students who attend school in the Dallas Branch region (Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall Counties) and who will be attending an institution of higher learning in the upcoming fall semester in pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Environmental Engineering. The American Coal Ash Association Educational Foundation (ACAAEF) is accepting applications for scholarships from students with an interest in the beneficial use of coal combustion products (CCP). The Jorian Kuran Harris (Shugg) Helping Heart Foundation Scholarship will support a student in one of these fields as they explore what a career in business will look like for them. The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) will award scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines that support NASA’s mission. For the Incoming Freshman Merit Scholarship, applicants must: be a US citizen; have a 3.0 GPA; and be enrolled full-time at DMACC, Drake, ISU, Loras, Morningside, UI or UNI. The Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship has similar requirements, except applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduates. The City of Lawrenceburg established the Paul E. “Truck” Tremain Memorial Scholarship Program at the Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF) with the intent to financially assist graduates of Lawrenceburg High School (Indiana) who pursue a post-secondary education and who meet specific eligibility criteria. Lando LaKeith Young was a beloved friend who passed away far too soon on January 9th, 2025. Lando was loved by everyone in his whole town of Jefferson, Texas as well as at the school he taught at in Cypress, Texas for twenty years (Cypress-Fairbanks). Lando was a coach and math teacher who changed the lives of over 30,000 kids over the course of his career. Lando was a kinesiology major at Stephen F. The Springfield Research Fund Dissertation Fellowship supports graduate students at any stage of their dissertation who are interested in researching contemporary LGBTQIA+ issues in an effort to dispel stereotypes and other negative information that leads to prejudice and discrimination. The 2025 area of preference will be given to dissertation research that addresses intersectional stigmas. One fellowship of up to $10,000 is available.
