Scholarship Description
The American Welding Society indicates 320,500 new welding professionals projected to be needed by 2029, and a study commissioned by Metal Supermarkets indicates that young people are simply not aware of possible skilled trades careers, with over 62% of respondents indicating they did not learn about trade school opportunities in high school.
As the demand for skilled tradespeople continues to grow across North America, we aim to assist students pursuing careers in these careers which are vital to a wide variety of industries, as well as to maintain and develop critical infrastructure.
Eligibility:
- Students accepted to and attending a post-secondary trade school program with a semester beginning in 2025.
- Open to citizens, permanent residents and resident aliens legally residing in the USA or Canada with a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Scholarship funds are payable to the winner’s certified trade school in the United States or Canada.
- Winner must enroll or already be enrolled in the upcoming semester.
