Claude P. Thompson Scholarship Fund for Single Parents

The Community Foundation is proud to offer more than $150,000 in 30 categories in scholarship funds to students from the Memphis area.

Applications for adult learners (Fielder, Howard, McConnell, and Thompson Parent scholarships ONLY) are due by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025.

All applicants must:

- Be a single parent seeking to gain additional education or occupational skills that will enhance his/her earning capacity to provide an improved environment for his/her minor children;
- Be a Shelby County, Tennessee, resident;

- Be accepted by and plan to attend an accredited vocational or technical school, two-year, or four-year college or university;
- Demonstrate financial need
