Transplant recipients are not the only ones who are eligible to apply for a TRIO scholarship. As long as someone in the applicant’s family is a member of TRIO, and the applicant has some direct connection to transplantation (as recipient, living donor, donor family, or member of a family with at least one recipient), they meet the TRIO membership requirement.

The DAVID SCHOLARSHIP is designed to be awarded for men ages 16-25, who have overcome adversity whether it be by conquering difficult life settings or finding themselves in a situation not unlike the young boy who would be king. Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA; submit a 400-800 word essay, and while it is not a pre-requisite, any student seeking education in music or the arts will receive special consideration for the David scholarship.

The ideal candidate for the David Scholarship will be able to articulate how his own life models the poignant story of a warrior heart, sobering humility, and the courage to face his enemies and how he will use the experience to make a lasting contribution to the world around him. The Eric Delson Memorial Scholarship Program was created to support and encourage education for students diagnosed with hemophilia or von Willebrand disease.
