Scholarship Description

The Contest is open to entrants from all nations. (However, entrants should provide themselves with some means for written communication in English.) All themes of science fiction and fantasy illustrations are welcome. Applicants must be new and amateur artists who have not been professionally published and paid for more than three black-and-white story illustrations, or more than one process-color painting, in media distributed broadly to the general public.

Three prizes of $500 (a total of $1500) are awarded each quarter. From the twelve quarterly winners each year the judges select a grand prize winner to receive the L. Ron Hubbard Golden Brush Award and an additional $5000 cash prize.

Enter three science fiction or fantasy pieces of art. Color or black and white. Send your best original work. AI art is not accepted. Free to enter and entrants retain all publication rights. Enter once per quarter. Enter all four quarters each year.
