The UNCF Lowe’s Trailblazer Scholarship Program, will provide up to $4,250, a one-time, need-based scholarship to students interested in a career in home improvement retail, who will be juniors in the fall 2025 semester, and are currently second semester sophomores at an accredited UNCF member institution or HBCU in the state of North Carolina. Eligible students in the following majors will be considered: industrial and software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, finance, accounting, economics, supply chain, business administration with a concentration or minor in supply chain logistics, merchandising, business analytics, or business information technologies or a related field. Under this program, four $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to support women (21 and older) who are pursuing a degree from an accredited educational institution in culinary or pastry arts education, food systems or agriculture/farming, hospitality management, dietetics and/or nutrition or the beverage industries. MyImpact Challenge is a civic engagement contest hosted by the Bill of Rights Institute. What is a Civic Engagement Contest? Our civic engagement contest highlights students actively engaged in service, volunteerism, or entrepreneurship in their communities. Submission is open to students ages 13-19 in all U.S. states, territories, and Armed Forces Schools Abroad. To submit a project, you must describe an idea you envisioned and brought to life, centered around civic engagement. Each project must have three components: A written essay to connect your project to our founding principles and virtues. A project report. The Kilby Family Endowed Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to descendants* of persons enslaved in Culpeper, Rappahannock and Madison counties, Virginia, prior to the end of the Civil War in 1865. Preference shall be given to descendants of persons enslaved by John Kilby of Culpeper County, Virginia (1715 – 1772), and by his lineal descendants who were enslavers. The Cameron Impact Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, impact-driven undergraduate scholarship awarded annually to 15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics.

One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to students from grade 3 through university and above, based on the student’s grade level (through age 25). As an example of the appropriate entrant category, students who have completed grade 11 at the time of making/producing the film and submit an entry before commencing grade 12 will be considered entrants for grade 12. The Contest accepts submissions from students living outside the U.S. Entrants may submit a film of no shorter than 3 minutes and no longer than 8 minutes. However, the sponsor will accept and consider short animated films. The minimum length for animated submissions is 45 seconds. Topics differ based on age group.

Tom LoCasale represented the good in the world and improved the lives of those around him. Tom believed that a happy, healthy, and productive life came from a set of skills and was always working on bettering himself. Tom was able to develop patience, perseverance, and character through his practice of golf. He spent many years volunteering with First Tee, introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to youth. This scholarship seeks to honor Tom LoCasale’s life by supporting students who have learned valuable life skills through the sport of golf. Any high school senior who plays golf may apply for this scholarship. Candidates who will be a first-generation college student or identify as part of an underrepresented group are highly encouraged to apply. The Hasta La Luna Scholarship is designed to financially assist an undocumented undergraduate student to obtain a college degree. The purpose of this scholarship is intended to help a person who is a part of an underrepresented community and/or low-income background. She had over 27 years of experience as a registered nurse and aided in the delivery of an estimated 3,000 babies in Tri Cities, WA. Her passion for nursing was cut short in August 2021 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She spent her last few months on Earth living it to the fullest, knocking things off her bucket-list, and continuing to inspire others before passing away peacefully in January of 2022. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend, and left behind a legacy of compassion and strength. To honor her memory, the Martha Galvez Memorial Scholarship will support a hardworking, motivated student who plans to pursue a career in nursing. The Joshua Kim Advocacy Is In Your Blood Scholarship was created to support students who have taken an active role in advocating for something that is important to them – whether it is legislation, a cause related to their bleeding disorder, self-advocacy, or advocating for other causes. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - The Advocacy is in Your Blood Scholarship is for those affected by hemophilia or other bleeding disorders. The Charles B. Staats Memorial Foundation (CBSMF) Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who is also a swim coach. CBSMF believes that the focus, dedication, and hard work required by coaching translates to focus, dedication, and success in other areas of life. The scholarship will be awarded to a well-rounded student who cares about academics and shows leadership in the community. Most of all, we want a student who loves being a swim coach. Each year the Chapter seeks to recognize a student from a systemically underrepresented racial/ethnic background attending school in Washington State who demonstrates academic achievement and a desire to practice public relations. Administered by UNCF, the LeBlanc/Baker Scholarship for Change provides a renewable need-based scholarship of up to $4,000 annually to male students who will attend an accredited, four-year Historically Black College or University (“HBCU”) in the fall of the 2025-2026 academic year. This Scholarship is for deserving women who can put the award towards their education. This winner will receive an amount of $750CAD or $500USD. The Kieth and Serena Cockrell Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance in the form of annually renewable, need-based scholarships to students who have a permanent residence in North Carolina to get to and through college. Selected students will be eligible to receive up to $7,500.00 in renewable scholarship funds every year. Renewable Up to $30,000 Over a Four (4) Year Period. Every year GPLLA offers candidates a chance to apply for student scholarships as well as grants for working information professionals. GPLLA awards scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to promising LIS students interested in pursuing a career in law librarianship. Award recipients will also be provided a one year membership to GPLLA. The Robert W. Cook Eagle Scout Scholarship is awarded twice a year to Eagle Scouts to help defray the costs of their post-high school education. The scholarships vary in amount up to $1,000 (or $2,000 for Tri-County area residents) and may be used for Undergraduate, Graduate, Continuing Education ($100 per course), Professional Education, or Trade School (up to $500) courses. Applicants must a maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible for the renewal of this award.

As a result, many people give up on passions in favor of more traditional routes, often leaving behind creative dreams in fields such as music, art, or film. Betsy, a homemaker, raised four children with Tam. When the youngest headed to college, Betsy fulfilled her dream of opening an independent used bookstore in order to share her love of literature and reading with others. One location expanded to two, and Betsy ran these popular bookstores for over 25 years. Betsy cherished her relationships with her employees, customers, and the charitable organizations she supported through her many book donations. This scholarship seeks to support nursing students who are interested in pursuing careers in pediatric nursing. Any undergraduate nursing student who is interested in becoming a pediatric nurse may apply for this scholarship.

The significant education required to work as a health professional can make these careers inaccessible to students who may not have the financial resources needed to pay for years of school. As a result, many prospective doctors, nurses, and other care providers have to choose an alternate path or go deep into debt to finance their tuition.
