Van Zanten Scholarship

In recognition of retired General Director Henry A. Van Zanten’s years of service to the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County, the YMCA awards two, $2,000 scholarships to two graduating seniors living in the Community YMCA’s service area who will be continuing their education after high school.

Eligibility:
- Good Character – a recommendation from a counselor, teacher, coach, or activity advisor indicating the applicant demonstrates the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in his/her interactions with others.

- Positive YMCA Experience – a 250-300 word essay in which the applicant explains how the YMCA has positively affected his/her life.
