The American Coal Ash Association Educational Foundation (ACAAEF) is accepting applications for scholarships from students with an interest in the beneficial use of coal combustion products (CCP). Both currently-enrolled graduate and undergraduate students are invited to apply. The awards will be based on essays, coursework, academic credentials, and recommendations. The Jorian Kuran Harris (Shugg) Helping Heart Foundation Scholarship will support a student in one of these fields as they explore what a career in business will look like for them. The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) will award scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines that support NASA’s mission. For the Incoming Freshman Merit Scholarship, applicants must: be a US citizen; have a 3.0 GPA; and be enrolled full-time at DMACC, Drake, ISU, Loras, Morningside, UI or UNI. The Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship has similar requirements, except applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduates. The City of Lawrenceburg established the Paul E. “Truck” Tremain Memorial Scholarship Program at the Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF) with the intent to financially assist graduates of Lawrenceburg High School (Indiana) who pursue a post-secondary education and who meet specific eligibility criteria. Lando LaKeith Young was a beloved friend who passed away far too soon on January 9th, 2025. Lando was a coach and math teacher who changed the lives of over 30,000 kids over the course of his career. Lando was a kinesiology major at Stephen F. Hawaii Education Association Student Teacher Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Hawaii Education Association (HEA) and their children during their student teaching semester.

To be eligible for the SMA Native American STEM Scholarship, applicants must: be an enrolled member of federally recognized Pueblo, Nation or Tribe in the United States; be either a high school graduate or a full-time college undergrad student enrolled at an accredited college or university; major in a STEM field; must not have been placed on disciplinary or academic probation at any time; and have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.00. The number of scholarships awarded each year varies.

The purpose of this award is to stimulate interest in meteorology among college students through the submission of original student papers concerned with some phase of the atmospheric sciences. The student must be enrolled as an undergraduate at the time the paper is written, and no more than two students from any one institution may enter papers in any one contest. The Society encourages applications from women, minorities, and disabled students, traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status.

A $1000 to $4000 scholarship shall be awarded to two or more individuals with spinal cord injuries, spinal cord related disabilities, or the child of that person, for post high for post high school education yearly (once a year). Priority going to direct spinal cord injuries and diseases resulting in paralysis such as spinal tumors, spinal strokes or aneurysms affecting the spinal cord, or spina bifida. Eligibility: - Must have a high school or college GPA of 2.5 or higher. - Must be attending a four-year college, pursuing an associate degree or attending a post graduate program. - Applications will be accepted only from individuals that are in their last semester of high school or currently in college. A written essay of 200 words or less is required.

The Potato Leadership, Education, and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) will award a $10,000 academic scholarship to one graduate-level student conducting research benefiting the potato industry. The winner is selected based on several criteria, including academic achievement, leadership abilities, potato-related areas of graduate study, benefit to the U.S. potato industry/commercial value, extracurricular activities, and grades. Eligible applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and are completing either a master's or doctoral degree. Tom Cory was a founding member of the Architectural Precast Association and in his honor, the APA developed the Tom Cory Scholarship. In 2025, the APA will be awarding $5,000 in Tom Cory Scholarships. This award(s) will be made in the form of one (1) $5,000 scholarship or two (2) $2,500 scholarships as determined by the committee. The Father James B. Macelwane Annual Award was established by the American Meteorological Society to honor the late Rev. James B. Macelwane, S.J., a world renowned authority of seismology, who was a geophysicist and Dean of the Institute of Technology, Saint Louis University, until his death in 1956. The recipient of the Father James B. Macelwane award will receive a stipend of $1000 supported by member donations to the AMS Giving Program. Once a year, an award of US $20,000 is given to one eligible woman to help support graduate-level studies in Finance, with 50% of the award being paid directly to the winner and the remaining 50% being paid to the educational institution to directly assist with tuition. The Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology (DFBSST) is an endowment fund which provides scholarships to African-American undergraduate students who enroll in scientific or technical fields of study at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). DFBSST identifies students through the assistance of Engineering and Science Department deans and professors at pre-selected, predominantly Black colleges and universities. DFBSST requests the deans and faculty members to identify a specified number of students that they would like to be considered for scholarships, and to pass on DFBSST scholarship application forms to these students. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for scholarships offered by DFBSST, all applicants must meet the following criteria: - African-American, undergraduate student majoring (or intending to major) in a technical field of study (i.e., engineering, math, science, etc.), - Be enrolled (or identify his or her intention to enroll) at one of the predominantly Black colleges or universities listed below, and - Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Every year, the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame awards scholarships to outstanding Oregon student-athletes who will be attending Oregon colleges. The Diane J. Humetewa Scholarship (DHS) is a highly competitive, merit-based scholarship for college seniors and students admitted to graduate and professional degree programs related to the field of social justice.
