Hawaii Education Association Student Teacher Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Hawaii Education Association (HEA) and their children during their student teaching semester.

To be eligible for the SMA Native American STEM Scholarship, applicants must: be an enrolled member of federally recognized Pueblo, Nation or Tribe in the United States; be either a high school graduate or a full-time college undergrad student enrolled at an accredited college or university; major in a STEM field; must not have been placed on disciplinary or academic probation at any time; and have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.00. The purpose of this award is to stimulate interest in meteorology among college students through the submission of original student papers concerned with some phase of the atmospheric sciences. The student must be enrolled as an undergraduate at the time the paper is written, and no more than two students from any one institution may enter papers in any one contest. The Society encourages applications from women, minorities, and disabled students, traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. A $1000 to $4000 scholarship shall be awarded to two or more individuals with spinal cord injuries, spinal cord related disabilities, or the child of that person, for post high for post high school education yearly (once a year). Priority going to direct spinal cord injuries and diseases resulting in paralysis such as spinal tumors, spinal strokes or aneurysms affecting the spinal cord, or spina bifida. Eligibility: - Must have a high school or college GPA of 2.5 or higher. - Must be attending a four-year college, pursuing an associate degree or attending a post graduate program. - Applications will be accepted only from individuals that are in their last semester of high school or currently in college. A written essay of 200 words or less is required.

The Potato Leadership, Education, and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) will award a $10,000 academic scholarship to one graduate-level student conducting research benefiting the potato industry. The winner is selected based on several criteria, including academic achievement, leadership abilities, potato-related areas of graduate study, benefit to the U.S. potato industry/commercial value, extracurricular activities, and grades. Tom Cory was a founding member of the Architectural Precast Association and in his honor, the APA developed the Tom Cory Scholarship. The Father James B. Macelwane Annual Award was established by the American Meteorological Society to honor the late Rev. James B. The Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology (DFBSST) is an endowment fund which provides scholarships to African-American undergraduate students who enroll in scientific or technical fields of study at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). DFBSST identifies students through the assistance of Engineering and Science Department deans and professors at pre-selected, predominantly Black colleges and universities. DFBSST requests the deans and faculty members to identify a specified number of students that they would like to be considered for scholarships, and to pass on DFBSST scholarship application forms to these students. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for scholarships offered by DFBSST, all applicants must meet the following criteria: - African-American, undergraduate student majoring (or intending to major) in a technical field of study (i.e., engineering, math, science, etc.), - Be enrolled (or identify his or her intention to enroll) at one of the predominantly Black colleges or universities listed below, and - Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Students must submit the results of an audiogram completed no longer than 24 months prior to the date of the contest by a qualified audiologist. Students must be certified to have an uncorrected hearing loss of 40 decibels or more, which must be supported by the audiogram in order to be eligible to compete. Students with permanent correction should compete in the Optimist International Oratorical contest. Contestants make a 4-5 minute presentation on the assigned topic. Scholarships are awarded to contestants in the United States and the Caribbean in US dollars and in Canadian dollars for Canadian contestants.

The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science – Minnesota (ASCLS- MN) announces the availability of scholarships for students enrolled in Minnesota based Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician programs. The Careers That Work! program was launched in 1999. Each year, every high school in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington (public and private)are given five $1000 tuition scholarships to award to graduating students headed to one of the participating career colleges. Seniors awarded the Careers That Work! by their high school are not restricted to colleges within their home state. That means seniors graduating in Idaho, Oregon or Washington may be awarded the scholarship for attendance at any participating private career college in any of those three states.

As an industry, it provides the water we drink, the roads and bridges we drive on, sewer and stormwater systems, snow and ice removal, garbage and recycling services, environmental protections, other transportation systems such as railroad, airports, and ferries, and even emergency response to major disasters. Public works operatives work for both the government (cities, counties, and state) and consulting firms. Public works offers a huge variety of jobs such as engineer, surveyor, environmental scientist, GIS specialist, communicator, graphic artist, writer, mechanic, equipment operator, accountant, HR professional, administrative professional, and many others. Eligibility: 1. To be eligible for consideration, the applicant shall be pursuing a course of study that will lead to a career in public works. To be eligible for the WIA Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must be interested in pursuing a career in the aerospace field and be a rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math or science.
