Each year, the interest earned from the Shropshire Scholarship fund is used to provide these awards. The scholarship fund is currently benefited by the Civitan International Fellows Programs and direct contributions.

Any Civitan, Campus Civitan, or Junior Civitan who has been a member for 2 years and is enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree or certificate program at an accredited community college, vocational school, four-year college or graduate school is eligible to apply for a Shropshire Scholarship.

Candidates are judged by a scholarship selection committee appointed by Civitan International. The decisions of the selection committee are FINAL and NOT subject to review. Civitan International has established the following criteria for awarding points when judging the various aspects of the application.
