The average scholarship awarded is $2,000. Scholarships can be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies at Green River College. Everyone is eligible to apply including IP, DACA, HS Completion, and Running Start. Some scholarships have higher GPA requirements, but all scholarships recipients must have and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Need-based, program-based, and merit-based scholarships are available. The Maxwell Scholarship was established to assist high school seniors from Western Washington in obtaining a higher education. For freshmen starting college during the 2025-26 academic year, scholarships will be $5,000 per year. This award has the potential to be renewed for up to an additional three years of undergraduate education based on reasonable progress toward graduation. Scholarship eligibility is subject to the following criteria: Pursuing Post-Secondary Education at a Private College/University: Students must intend to seek a four-year degree at an accredited private institution which receives its fundamental support from sources other than taxes (i.e., not state funded colleges or universities) Western Washington Residency: A resident of Western Washington is defined as a student who has attended the last two years of high school (or homeschool) and lived in a location west of the Cascade Mountains. Standardized Test Scores: (Optional for 2025 but highly recommended) Scholarships will generally be limited to entering freshmen, with combined math and reading/writing SAT scores of 1200 or higher (or ACT composite scores of over 26). The Trustees of the Foundation, at their discretion, may consider students with lower scores.

The CVS Health Foundation Health Care Careers Scholarship was established in collaboration with UNCF to provide need-based scholarships to qualified African American or Latino/a/e students for their junior and senior years. Applicants for the program must meet the criteria below: · Be a junior in the Fall 2025 semester at the time of the initial award. · Be a Black or Latino/a/e student enrolled full-time at any accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. · Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale · Have an unmet financial need as verified by the student's college or university of enrollment · Have an interest in pursuing a career in the health care sector · Be pursuing a major in pharmacy, nursing, biology, biochemistry, data analytics, information technology, neuroscience, psychology, sociology, gerontology, art therapy, biology, human development & family studies, social work, and community health education.
