Scholarship Description
Are you a student enrolled in a DVM/VMD program with an interest in poultry medicine? If so, consider applying for the L. Dwight Schwartz Travel Scholarship! The L. Dwight Schwartz Travel Scholarship is open to students who are enrolled in a DVM/VMD program at an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine. Applicants must also have a demonstrated interest in poultry medicine through a project, work experience, previous courses, or interest in attending an AAAP meeting.
The scholarship is offered by the American Association of Avian Pathologists, an international association whose mission is to promote scientific knowledge to enhance the health, well–being, and productivity of poultry to provide safe and abundant food for the world. Each year, the scholarship awards up to $1,500 to one (1) lucky student to help pay for travel expenses to the American Association of Avian Pathologists Annual Meeting.
