Direct Action Visionary Grants The APF Direct Action Visionary Grants seek to fund innovative interventions, based on psychological knowledge, that directly address pressing needs of communities. Research is critical to advancing the field of psychology, but communities also need care right now. APF is uniquely positioned to accomplish both. Through APF Direct Action Visionary Grants, we are particularly interested in supporting communities and populations dealing with prejudice, bias, intolerance, and all forms of bigotry, including racism, antisemitism, homophobia, and misogyny. Eligibility: - Be clearly supported by evidence-based psychological principle - Have demonstrated competence and capacity to execute the proposed work Additional eligibility information: - Project applicants may be individuals or organizations and are not required to be psychologists or mental health professionals. However, an expert in the relevant evidence-based foundation used for the project must be centrally involved throughout the funding timeline. - Projects are not limited to clinical or academic settings

ELIGIBILITY: High school seniors and current college students planning to attend college or another form of post-secondary education for the full school year following the submission period are eligible to apply. Eligible institutions include but are not limited to four-year universities, community colleges, institutes of technology and accredited credential or certificate programs in the United States. The Stokes Scholarship Programs are funded by the Central Intelligence Agency, a U.S. government agency that provides objective intelligence on foreign countries and global issues to the president, the National Security Council, and other policymakers to help them make national security decisions. Every year, their Stokes Scholarship Program awards up to $25,000 to multiple postsecondary students who (1) can commit to working at the CIA for a period of 1.5 years for each year they receive the scholarship and (2) are willing to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) for a minimum of 12 weeks each summer in the WMA until graduation and onboard as an officer. The National Scholarship Program of the American Board of Funeral Service Education was established to provide financial awards to students enrolled in funeral service or mortuary science programs to assist them in obtaining their professional education. Established during the 1960’s the program has awarded scholarships to hundreds of students. Postdoctoral Awards provide recently graduated scholars an opportunity to conduct research and receive professional training abroad. Awards may involve limited teaching. Postdoctoral Awards are open to scholars who will have received a doctoral degree (Ph.D., J.D., M.D., Ed.D., etc.) within five to seven years of the fellowship start date, as noted in the award description. Degree conferment before the start of the award is mandatory. Institutional affiliation in the United States is not required.

Eligibility The Luce Scholars Program provides an in-depth experience in Asia to emerging leaders who would not otherwise have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country where they are placed. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants may be graduating seniors, recent graduates, or young professionals under the age of 32, who have earned at least a bachelor’s degree before the start of the Program, OR if older than 32, applicants must have received their bachelor’s degree within the past three years.
