The UCT Charities Scholarship Program, funded by UCT Charities, provides scholarships to students and teachers seeking college degrees or certification to work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Five ACES scholarships are awarded to students who excel in critical thinking about written materials in any field and aspire to a career involving editing. Four of these winners each receive $1,500, and the student chosen as the Aubespin Scholar receives $2,500. We’re looking for critical thinkers who have a passion for words and enjoy making writing clear, accurate, and engaging. The Walsh Scholarship goes to an applicant who aspires to edit news and who demonstrates the talent and passion for language and journalism that Bill Walsh devoted his career to. Applicants for the other five ACES Scholarships should have a commitment to the editing of written materials and demonstrate effectiveness in doing so. A student may simultaneously seek both the Walsh Scholarship and one of the other five scholarships, but may win only one.

AAUW American Fellowships support women scholars who are pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research full time, or preparing research for publication for eight consecutive weeks. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates are evaluated based on scholarly excellence; quality and originality of project design; and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in their communities, professions, or fields of research.

The purpose of The GreenPal Small Business Scholarship is to assist a motivated, driven student and future business leader. We believe that the generation of today's students are the future employers of tomorrow. The future of our county will be forged by the entrepreneurial spirit of today's generation. The palliative care team, network, and resources were miracle workers for the McCormack family during this difficult time, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. This scholarship aims to honor the memory of James Gabriel by financially supporting those who have survived a congenital heart defect. Any high school junior or senior who has survived a congenital heart defect may apply for this scholarship.

The Charles Cheesman Student Debt Reduction Scholarship seeks to reduce student loan costs for African American or Hispanic/Latino first generation students, who are currently in college or have graduated with student loans. Workers who are no longer students but are still working to pay off student loans are eligible. Each year NPVA offers merit-based scholarships for students who are committed to volunteering and making a difference in their communities. Applicants must be a high school junior or senior, undergraduate student, or graduate student; must have at least a 2.5 GPA, and must currently enrolled or plan to be enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university. Restricted to pre-doctoral candidates in the history of art and related disciplines (such as archaeology, architecture, or classics). Nominees must be U.S. citizens or individuals matriculated at an American university. Dissertation research must focus on European art from antiquity to the early 19th century and applicants must be ABD by the time their fellowship begins. Candidates must be nominated by their academic department. Each nomination should be formally confirmed in a letter of recommendation from the department chair. Please note: Each university is limited to two (2) nominees per academic department. The nominees must be applying for different research centers. Nominations are confirmed as part of the Department Chair’s recommendation letter. All recommendation letters, including the Department Chair’s nomination, are securely submitted via a link that is emailed to recommenders once they are listed by the student on the fellowship application form in the grantee portal.

The high cost of medical school can make the field inaccessible to students with financial need. For example, the patriarch of our family—Emanuel "Manny" Weiner—graduated from college in a pre-med program, but due to financial and other factors, was unable to attend medical school. This was one of the great regrets of his life. In memory of Manny and his wife, Sylvia Weiner, this scholarship seeks to support undergraduates in a pre-med track or current medical students. Any student in a pre-med or medical school program who has financial need and wants to become an M.D. may apply for this scholarship.

Applicants must be a current 3rd or 4th year undergraduate dental student or dental specialist graduate student in the State of Washington. The scholarship is designed to help bring awareness to and promote private practice ownership.

STEM fields are becoming increasingly popular fields of study in our increasingly scientific and technological world. Unfortunately, many sectors of STEM are still lacking in diversity, with Black and Hispanic workers being particularly underrepresented. Just 8% of the STEM workforce is Hispanic and only 9% is Black, despite Hispanic people making up 17% of the general workforce and Black workers holding 11% of all jobs. This scholarship aims to honor the legacy of William A. Lewis by supporting underrepresented students interested in pursuing careers in mathematics or other STEM fields. The Multi-Country Research Fellowship enables US scholars to carry out transational research in countries across the network of Overseas Research Centers as well as other countries. ​The fellowship supports advanced research in the humanities, social sciences, and allied natural sciences for US doctoral candidates, who are ‘all but dissertation,’ and scholars who have earned their PhD or a terminal degree. Applicants are eligible to apply as individuals or as teams. Six awards of $12,600 each will be granted. Funding is provided by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Mary Ellen Lane Travel Award: Each year the highest ranking Multi-Country Fellowship applicant will receive an additional $1,000 toward travel expenses. The award is named after CAORC's founding director, Dr. Mary Ellen Lane. ​

The UNIMA-USA scholarship program is intended to help cover tuition fees for American puppeteers who wish to study puppetry outside the U.S. Applicants should be puppeteers who have some professional experience, who have a university degree in puppetry, or who can otherwise demonstrate a serious commitment to the art form. Over the past several years, UNIMA has also given scholarships for study in an ever-widening number of places, including the Institut Internationale de la Marionnette in Charleville-Mezieres, France; the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England; the International Summer Academy in Stuttgart, Germany; and Puppets in Prague. The working knowledge of another language might be necessary to fully participate in some programs. Candidates may use their scholarship at any time of the year, depending on when the courses are being offered. Puppetry training may be undertaken with either a recognized puppetry professional or a professional program outside the U.S. In some cases, an international puppet festival may be considered as a professional program.

The Minority Scholarship Award recognizes physical therapy students currently in their final year of an accredited program, and faculty members who are pursuing postprofessional doctoral degrees, for their professional character and academic excellence.

This award recognizes outstanding teachers in our profession who deserve to be recognized for their impact on veterinary students. The SAVMA Chapter that is associated with the submission will receive a stipend to host an awards ceremony to honor the teacher that is chosen.

You must be a graduate of a Century Scholar school. In addition to your academic achievement including achievement under difficult circumstances, your co-curricular involvement (campus and community activities, leadership roles, employment, etc.) is also considered. In order to provide scholarship opportunities to the greatest number of students, Texas A&M does not stack Academic Scholarships. If you qualify for more than one Academic Scholarship, our office will offer you the highest dollar-value scholarship only.

Each year, 500 students nationwide become Dell Scholars, gaining financial assistance, academic advising, career coaching, and a team of dedicated experts who support them every step of the way. To be eligible, you must: - Be a high school senior participating in an approved college readiness program - Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university right after high school - Be Pell Grant eligible - Have at least a 2.4 GPA

The Opportunity Award program provides scholarships for a first year freshman with outstanding high school records. Selection is based on an applicant's high school academic record, activities, leadership ability, and, in some cases evidence of financial need. Stipends for these awards generally range from $100 to $15,000 per year. Out-of-state students may be eligible to receive a non-resident tuition waiver after receiving a competitive scholarship of a specified minimum dollar amount from Texas A&M University.

To be considered for the Regents’ Scholarship, you must be: -Admitted as a freshman to Texas A&M University College Station, including the McAllen Higher Education Center, Engineering Academy at Blinn Bryan or Engineering Academy at Galveston. -A first-generation college student (neither parent has earned a bachelor’s degree). -From a family with a total income of less than $40,000 per year as verified through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for Student Financial Aid (TASFA). -Living on campus their entire first year for students at the College Station and Galveston campus unless a special circumstance housing appeal is approved.

For military veterans who have served or been deployed overseas in the post-9/11 conflict, also known as the Global War on Terror, with a preference for Oregon National Guard and Oregon Reservists. Any undergraduate student majoring in bioinformatics, computer science, biology, agriculture, or plant sciences may apply for this scholarship. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is required for this scholarship. To apply, please submit two letters or recommendation, and tell us about your accomplishments within the field of bioinformatics and what your career goals are. One letter of recommendation should be a professional reference, such as a professor, that can vouch for the candidate’s interest in bioinformatics. Examples of personal development in this field can include but are not limited to, learning interfaces and software required bioinformatic analysis, development of new bioinformatic software, generating novel sequencing data, and/or improving currently available datasets. This scholarship is named after Brian Bushnell, developer of the bioinformatic tools suite BBtools, and aims to help future scientists build the bioinformatic skills required to evaluate large sets of biological data.

Five one-year scholarships available to full-time undergraduate Engineering Technology students pursuing either a bachelor or an associate degree in a course of study that has traditionally been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. The AvaCare Medical Scholarship recognizes those who are working to better the lives of our customers, students who are pursuing a degree in the medical field, with a prize of $1000 toward college tuition. To support an individual project of a scholarly nature, related to Aegean Bronze Age Archaeology, and to be conducted between July 1 of the award year and the following June 30. The Dakota Corps Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by private business, non profit corporations and the Governors Office. It was established to encourage South Dakota's high school graduates to: 1. Obtain their post secondary education in South Dakota 2. Remain in the state upon completion of their education and 3. Contribute to the state of South Dakota and its citizens by working in a critical need occupation. To be eligible for the Dakota Corps Scholarship students must: - Have graduated from an accredited South Dakota high school with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.8 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Two $750 awards are available to students who meet the following criteria: - Must have been enrolled as a student during part of the current year. - Must have an accepted paper abstract for the SfAA Annual Meeting program (poster presentations are not eligible). - The accepted paper should address issues related to supporting and empowering oppressed or disadvantaged communities, reflecting Del Jones’s contributions. - The award helps support travel expenses to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting.

The Gilbert Kushner Travel Award honors the legacy of an influential SfAA Fellow and recipient of the 2005 Sol Tax Distinguished Service Award. Renowned for his pioneering role in developing applied anthropology as a graduate field, Kushner served as Chair of the University of South Florida’s Anthropology Department and Associate Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Under his leadership, USF became a leading center for applied anthropology, with numerous MA and Ph.D. students in the field. Kushner strongly advocated for field experiences, believing they offer invaluable insights for anthropologists. His research, which began with studies of Indian immigrants to Israel, fostered a lifelong commitment to ethics, human rights, and the persistence of cultural groups. Two $750 awards are available to students who meet the following criteria: - Must have been enrolled as a student during part of the current year. - Must have an accepted paper or poster abstract for the SfAA Annual Meeting on topics related to the persistence of cultural groups. - The award helps support travel expenses to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting.

Scholarsip is open to students who are in pursuit of better education and currently/about to be enrolled in any apiology program, major in agriculture & environmental sciences, and other related studies. Applicants must be 18 years or older; must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa; must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited U.S. college or university, and must be a student/enrollee of any of the following: entomology program, major in agriculture & environmental sciences, or other related studies. HW Part Store Scholarship gives a one-time grant of $1,000 to one deserving student to help pay for books, tuition, or other educational expenses so they can be a step closer to achieving their goals. Applicants must be 18 years or older; must be a permanent legal U.S. resident or a holder of a valid student visa, and must be enrolled or planning to enroll in agricultural sciences at accredited colleges or universities in the United States.

Washington College Grant (WA Grant) gives eligible people more money for more types of education like certificate programs, job training, apprenticeships, or college. To apply, complete a state or federal financial aid application. WA Grant is available to the following people: -Washington residents (including undocumented people) -Recent high school graduates or working-age adults -Low- to middle-income families and individuals -People who plan to attend an approved certificate program, job training, apprenticeship, or college, part-time or full-time Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or the equivalent, and must have not already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher. The Alex & Suzanne Rosenkrantz Fund assists youth who are blind, deaf or deaf-blind in reaching their highest potential through higher education, vocational training, other appropriate schooling and adaptive technology and devices. The fund is administered by the Rotary Club of Aberdeen, Washington. Priority is given to Grays Harbor residents; lower Puget Sound areas; and Washington State. Priority is given to Grays Harbor residents; then residents of Pacific, Thurston and Mason Counties; then residents of other counties in Washington State. Applications are accepted year round.

The SOULE Foundation is designed to create an experience geared to support, develop and promote the educational advancement of LGBTQ youth and young people of color. This scholarship has a rolling deadline, meaning you can apply at anytime. However, the earlier you apply, the better. The SOULE Foundation provides annual scholarships for up to $5,000 to eligible youth and young adults in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree. The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund benefits financially needy dependent children, spouses, and domestic partners of 9/11 victims. Registrants must be dependent children, spouses, or domestic partners of 9/11 victims, including airplane crew and passengers; World Trade Center and Pentagon workers and visitors; and relief workers, including firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and law enforcement personnel, who were involved in the rescue efforts. The Susan E. Stutz McDonald Scholarship was established in 2017 by the Susan E. Stutz-McDonald Scholarship Foundation. Meredith was born in Nebraska in 1908. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1925. She was the first woman to graduate with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska in 1929 and a Master of Civil Engineering in 1931. She was a member of Delta Zeta and was elected to two honorary fraternities: Pi Mu Epsilon and Sigma Xi. Meredith left a significant bequest to SWE to fund scholarships. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply and the scholarships are renewable for 2 additional years.

BK (as she was always known in SWE) was born on the 4th of July, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri and passed away in 1989. She received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from University of Kansas. Throughout her career, she continued her education by taking numerous specialty courses. BK had a large extended family that she cherished. She had a great sense of humor and a special bumper sticker on her car: “Women are leaders, you are following one”

Lydia joined SWE in 1955 as a member of the Pacific Northwest Section and later became a Senior Life Member of SWE and was elected to Fellow grade in 1984. She was chair of the 1962 National Convention in Seattle (the first four-day convention) and served in many other national positions. Lydia was elected as national SWE President for 1968-69. One goal was to visit as many student sections as she could to provide guidance. Lydia participated in at least the first nine International Conventions of Women Engineers and Scientists. Lydia left a bequest to the SWE Scholarship Fund. The Trustees created this scholarship for graduate students. The scholarship is renewable for an additional 4 years.

Yvonne Claeys Brill (1924-2013) was a pioneering propulsion engineer and tireless advocate for women in the engineering profession. Yvonne was married to William F. Brill from 1951 until his death in 2010. They are survived by three children and four grandchildren, all of whom have pursued careers in science and engineering. Additionally, six extended family members followed this pathway. Originally named “The Brill Family Scholarship” to recognize all the technical talent in our family, we have chosen to rename this scholarship to honor Yvonne, who was an inspiration to us all.

The Wanda Munn Scholarship was endowed by the Eastern Washington Section in 2011. Reentry and nontraditional students in any engineering related major is eligible to apply. Geographical preference is giving to students who live in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Susan was the backbone and leader of the New York Section for many years. She was an active, reliable grass-roots volunteer. SWE had recently hosted a Regional Conference in New York City and Susan Miszkowicz was the Conference Chair. The theme was “Gearing Up for the New Millennium: Business & Leadership Skills for a Diverse Workforce.” She had served as Vice President of the New York Section, and rose to the position of President before SWE lost her at the age of 38 in the attacks on the World Trade Center. Susan was active in several other organizations such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). She served SWE and ASME in many capacities, and was also an active volunteer with a number of other organizations, including the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City and several animal rescue groups. The scholarship endowment was funded in 2002 by the New York Section and friends in SWE. It honors all the victims.

Mental illness can make it a challenge for families by not only affecting those who suffer directly but also those suffering indirectly. The Elizabeth Schalk Memorial Scholarship will not only help fund a student's education, but will also memorialize Elizabeth Schalk, who suffered from mental illness throughout her life. Jefferson Teaching Scholarship exists and will support two extremely ambitious African-American males in their pursuit to become educators for the future.

The Electrochemical Society has been offering summer fellowships since early 1928. These awards were established to assist students during the summer months, June through September, in the pursuit of work in a field of interest to ECS. Academic scholarships are monetary awards used to support CAP Cadets pursuing their undergraduate or graduate education. Monies are to be used for tuition, books, or room and board at any post-secondary school (i.e: college, university, vocational-technical school, etc.). Scholarship recipients must ensure that the money is used responsibly. Applicants may pursue any course of study. This year, scholarships will be made in varying amounts from $1,000 to $2,500. All applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements including: - Must have earned Billy Mitchell Award or higher - Must be a high school senior, high school graduate, or hold a GED. - Must be accepted to a college/school or provide proof that an application has been made. - Must attend a post-secondary school or college - Must be enrolled in a course of study during the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded. - Must submit at least one but not more than three letters of recommendation written by someone who is familiar with the cadets' accomplishments in CAP. - Must submit a resume, detailing any academic, community or CAP activities.

This scholarship is designed to assist eligible students in their pursuit of an academic degree in anthropology, or a clearly related degree program/curriculum, or interdisciplinary degree that includes anthropology as a significant component. Students should have an interest in the anthropology of the north. The scholarship will be used to help underwrite a program consisting of at least eight academic credits. If fewer credits are taken, it is required that the student be engaged in full-time work toward a degree. The Edward G. and Helen A. Borgens Elementary Teacher Scholarship is a one-time preferred amount of up to $1,500 awarded to one student who is twenty-five (25) years of age or older. Applicants must be studying to teach at the elementary school level. Applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA, be at least a college sophomore, and attend or plan on attending an accredited college or university. The award is based on academic merit and is not automatically renewable, however, recipients may reapply for consideration as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.

A preferred amount $5,000 scholarship awarded to one student either attending or planning to attend an approved, accredited medical school, college, or university. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is not automatically renewable; however, recipients may reapply for consideration each year for up to four consecutive years, pending receipt of proof of continued enrollment (no pre–med, veterinarian, or physician assistant), and after the first semester, an annual transcript review indicating a minimum GPA of 3.25.

The scholarship supports postgraduate training to enhance teaching skills and/or career development in teaching. Eligibility: Applicants are required to be teachers of English/language arts in a publicly funded institution. At the time of the award, the recipient must also be a member of NCTE. The Irene and Daisy MacGregor Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two students of high scholastic standing and character who have been accepted into or are pursuing an approved course of study to become a medical doctor (no pre-med, veterinarian or physician assistant) at an approved, accredited medical school. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is also available to students who have been accepted into or who are pursuing an approved course of study in the field of psychiatric nursing at the graduate level at accredited medical schools, colleges, or universities. There is a preference to females "if equally qualified."

A one-time $2,500 award is given to three students who are in financial need and who have been accepted or is currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. A letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript stating the applicant is in a nursing program must be included with the application.

The Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded for up to four years to two children or step children of dues-paying DAR members. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. Outstanding recipients pursuing graduate study may reapply each year for an additional period of up to four years of study. The DAR member number of the mother, who is a current-dues paying member, must be included with the application.

The William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship honors the esteemed Texas journalist who coined the phrase “Right to Work” and contributed greatly to the movement’s advancement. One $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to the student who exemplifies the dedication to the Right to Work principles and high journalistic standards of the late Mr. Ruggles. Individuals seeking to attend or individuals attending a United States institution of higher learning (undergraduate or graduate) who have demonstrated journalistic skills or major in journalism may apply. Applicants must: -Demonstrate potential for the successful completion of the educational requirements in an accredited college, university, or other qualifying institution.
