Scholarship Description
Yvonne Claeys Brill (1924-2013) was a pioneering propulsion engineer and tireless advocate for women in the engineering profession.
Yvonne was married to William F. Brill from 1951 until his death in 2010. They are survived by three children and four grandchildren, all of whom have pursued careers in science and engineering. Additionally, six extended family members followed this pathway. Originally named “The Brill Family Scholarship” to recognize all the technical talent in our family, we have chosen to rename this scholarship to honor Yvonne, who was an inspiration to us all.
