Scholarships are open to current undergraduates in the Foster business major; current UW students who are applying to the Foster School for autumn admissions, and transfer students who have applied to both the UW and the Foster School for autumn admissions. Eligibility: - Must be a full-time undergraduate in the business major at Foster School of Business. - Must average 12 credits per quarter over at least 2 quarters during the awarding year. SAJA scholarships help students afford tuition and other costs associated with higher education to pursue their journalism degree. Eligibility: - Full-time undergraduates and graduate students continuing their studies in the fall of 2025 at a university in the U.S. or Canada are eligible. - All applicants must show proof of enrollment. Applicants must either be of South Asian descent (includes: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and people of South Asian origin from the Caribbean) or demonstrate an interest in covering South Asia and/or the diaspora. Seattle Co-Arts, a non-profit organization committed to encouraging creative and artistic development, will be awarding a $3000 scholarship this year in memory of Patricia Murphy. Qualified art students currently enrolled in a comprehensive 2-to-4-year fine art program with an emphasis on 2-dimensional work will be eligible.

The Foundation for Global Sports Development is a body designed to further sports initiatives amongst the youth while holding dear the principles of fair play, education, and an abuse-free environment intact. The organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California has successfully arranged several programs to build sportsmanship amongst the youth. Similarly, awareness drives regarding anti-doping issues are occasionally conducted for maintaining the ethics of society. The Exceptional Youth Scholarships is one such initiative rewarding the youth for their community service activities and volunteerism. The $10,000 scholarship amount is used toward offsetting the costs of the college program for 10 lucky winners each. (Renewable) The purpose of the Russell Legacy: Women in STEM Scholarship Fund is to recognize and support exceptional students who have demonstrated a passion for and commitment to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Preference may be given to applicants who identify as female, with the aim of promoting gender diversity and representation in STEM fields, and those who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship has the potential to be renewed for up to three additional years. Reapplication each year is required.

Since its inception, National Medical Fellowships’ scholarships and awards have been at the core of its programming. NMF scholarship programs recognize merit as well as financial need. The director(s) of a submitted film must be a post-secondary student enrolled (full-time or part-time) in a degree or certificate-granting program when the film was made. High school/secondary students and younger are not eligible to submit. Only films that are undergraduate intermediate level or capstone films, or graduate school intermediate level or thesis films are eligible for entry. This scholarship seeks to support students who are planning to dedicate their careers to the skilled trades in order to make a difference. Any high school senior in Connecticut may apply, but students in Middletown, Haddam, Killingworth, Chester, Deep River, Essex, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, East Lyme, Niantic, Westbrook, Clinton, or Madison, Connecticut, are strongly encouraged to apply. The USTA Foundation Incorporated (USTA Foundation) focuses on serving young people from under-resourced communities. The Cameron Impact Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, impact-driven undergraduate scholarship awarded annually to 15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics.

Up to 11 graduate student scholarships will be awarded for special purposes. Scholarships of $5,000 each are available for the following categories, and applicants who wish to be considered for any of these endowed scholarships must indicate this during the Graduate Student Scholarship application process. Scholarship is open to graduate students who demonstrate academic achievement and promise in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The World Bank’s Development Economics Vice Presidency (DEC) provides scholarships to students and young researchers, contributing to the World Bank’s mission of forging new dynamic approaches to capacity development and knowledge sharing in the developing world. The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is open to citizens of World Bank member developing countries with at least three (3) years of relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries’ development efforts. One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to students from grade 3 through university and above, based on the student’s grade level (through age 25). As an example of the appropriate entrant category, students who have completed grade 11 at the time of making/producing the film and submit an entry before commencing grade 12 will be considered entrants for grade 12. The Contest accepts submissions from students living outside the U.S. Entrants may submit a film of no shorter than 3 minutes and no longer than 8 minutes. However, the sponsor will accept and consider short animated films. The minimum length for animated submissions is 45 seconds. Topics differ based on age group.

Tom LoCasale represented the good in the world and improved the lives of those around him. Tom believed that a happy, healthy, and productive life came from a set of skills and was always working on bettering himself. Tom was able to develop patience, perseverance, and character through his practice of golf. He spent many years volunteering with First Tee, introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to youth. This scholarship seeks to honor Tom LoCasale’s life by supporting students who have learned valuable life skills through the sport of golf. Any high school senior who plays golf may apply for this scholarship. Candidates who will be a first-generation college student or identify as part of an underrepresented group are highly encouraged to apply. Any high school senior who is a BMX racer may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have been impacted by a member of the armed forces, whether this person is a friend, family member, mentor, etc. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay about someone or something in the armed forces that has impacted you and how you define gratitude to our service members. DK poured his soul into UC Davis athletics, broadcasting and supporting various sporting events such as football, basketball, softball, women’s lacrosse, and more. Additionally, he worked on a sports radio show at KDVS and co-hosted on KDRT. The community that loved DK aims to honor DK by supporting undergraduate and graduate students pursuing Sports Broadcasting or Sports Journalism. Any undergraduate or graduate students studying Sports Broadcasting or Sports Journalism with a financial need may apply. The Dick French Memorial Scholarship is administered by and funded by the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Lower Columbia/Willamette River Professional Chapter. Scholarship award criteria: scholastic achievement, financial need, and personal qualities such as character and leadership ability. The scholarship grant of $1,000 will be paid to the applicant’s school with instructions for funds to be disbursed and monitored. She had over 27 years of experience as a registered nurse and aided in the delivery of an estimated 3,000 babies in Tri Cities, WA. Her passion for nursing was cut short in August 2021 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She spent her last few months on Earth living it to the fullest, knocking things off her bucket-list, and continuing to inspire others before passing away peacefully in January of 2022. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend, and left behind a legacy of compassion and strength. To honor her memory, the Martha Galvez Memorial Scholarship will support a hardworking, motivated student who plans to pursue a career in nursing. Students of all education levels, high school and above, from Benton, Franklin, Yakima, or Walla Walla county in Washington, are eligible to apply if they are pursuing or planning to pursue a nursing degree. The Victoria Mendoza Perez Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Victoria Mendoza Perez for anyone pursuing a career in healthcare. For 2025, HFSC is pleased to offer four scholarships available to graduating high school seniors and adults who wish to pursue post-secondary education at a trade/vocational school, 2-year college, 4-year college, graduate studies, or continuing education courses. The Joshua Kim Advocacy Is In Your Blood Scholarship was created to support students who have taken an active role in advocating for something that is important to them – whether it is legislation, a cause related to their bleeding disorder, self-advocacy, or advocating for other causes. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - The Advocacy is in Your Blood Scholarship is for those affected by hemophilia or other bleeding disorders. This scholarship goes to support students with bleeding disorders to pursue higher educational opportunities and who have been involved in advocacy. - Must be accepted into an educational/vocational institution and able to provide proof of enrollment. Must be a resident of, or have permanent address in, one of the following Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern, Inyo and Santa Barbara. - Priority given to applicants who are actively involved in advocacy.

This scholarship will be awarded each year to 1-2 students pursuing a major in music, arts, drama, or dance. This scholarship will be awarded to individuals who demonstrate these principles of goal-orientation and motivation. The Charles B. Staats Memorial Foundation (CBSMF) Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who is also a swim coach. CBSMF believes that the focus, dedication, and hard work required by coaching translates to focus, dedication, and success in other areas of life. Each year the Chapter seeks to recognize a student from a systemically underrepresented racial/ethnic background attending school in Washington State who demonstrates academic achievement and a desire to practice public relations. Administered by UNCF, the LeBlanc/Baker Scholarship for Change provides a renewable need-based scholarship of up to $4,000 annually to male students who will attend an accredited, four-year Historically Black College or University (“HBCU”) in the fall of the 2025-2026 academic year. This Scholarship is for deserving women who can put the award towards their education. This winner will receive an amount of $750CAD or $500USD. The Kieth and Serena Cockrell Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance in the form of annually renewable, need-based scholarships to students who have a permanent residence in North Carolina to get to and through college. Every year GPLLA offers candidates a chance to apply for student scholarships as well as grants for working information professionals. GPLLA awards scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to promising LIS students interested in pursuing a career in law librarianship. Award recipients will also be provided a one year membership to GPLLA. The Robert W. Cook Eagle Scout Scholarship is awarded twice a year to Eagle Scouts to help defray the costs of their post-high school education. The scholarships vary in amount up to $1,000 (or $2,000 for Tri-County area residents) and may be used for Undergraduate, Graduate, Continuing Education ($100 per course), Professional Education, or Trade School (up to $500) courses. Applicants must a maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible for the renewal of this award.

The SkillsUSA-Bob Westphal Memorial Scholarship provides annual scholarship awards applicants who demonstrate promise in the construction trades, with an emphasis on sustainability. The Bob Westphal Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Robert H. Westphal (1944-2020) in recognition of his impact on the oil and gas pipeline industry. The program is aimed at assisting students interested in pursuing a career in energy construction. Robert "Bob" Westphal committed a lifetime of leadership in pipeline construction. He gave back to the industry in many ways, including leadership positions with industry associations and in working with labor organizations. The SkillsUSA-Bob Westphal Memorial Scholarship was established in 2020 by Benjamin Media, publisher of Trenchless Technology, and Continuum Capital, in partnership with SkillsUSA. Scholarship is open to incoming freshmen (high school seniors), and undergraduate students.
