The E.J. Sierleja Memorial Fellowship is awarded to an ISE graduate student, studying transportation, with priority given for a focus in rail transportation. University can be in the U.S. or international. Applicant must be a member of IISE and have at least 3.4 GPA.

Six scholarships are awarded annually through the ACES Education Fund to those aspiring to a career involving editing. While four of the winners will receive a $1,500 award, one applicant will be declared the Aubespin Scholar and win $2,500, and the recipient of the “Bill Walsh Scholarship” will be awarded $3,500. AAUW American Fellowships support women scholars who are pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research full time, or preparing research for publication for eight consecutive weeks. Candidates are evaluated based on scholarly excellence; quality and originality of project design; and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in their communities, professions, or fields of research.
