Monte Mitchell Scholarship More than $1,500 This scholarship honors Monte Mitchell’s service of more than 40 years to the Aircraft Electronics Association and the general aviation industry. Mitchell first served as the AEA executive director and later as president of the association from 1977 to 1996. Under Mitchell’s leadership, the AEA Educational Foundation was created in 1990 to enhance, promote and secure the future of aviation and the AEA by furthering the education of students, technicians and members of the AEA. It will be awarded to an AEA member employee. The scholarship will cover a full AEA Convention registration along with travel and hotel expenses. The award recognizes an AEA member employee for their exemplary job performance and pursuit of professional development. This is an annual award to be given prior to the AEA International Convention and Trade Show. APPLICATION PROCEDURES A complete application will consist of the following: 1. Letter of recommendation from current employer. 2. A brief essay written by the applicant outlining how he or she would benefit in their job by attending the 65th AEA International Convention and Trade Show.

Each year, Vertical Flight Foundation (VFF) scholarships are awarded to college students enrolled in programs related to vertical lift engineering and demonstrating an interest in pursuing careers related to vertical flight technology. The Foundation scholarship awards are made possible solely by tax deductible donations that have been established and contribute to an endowment. The VFF scholarships are solely merit-based and the value of the scholarships range from $3,000 up to $6,000 (USD). The program is open to full-time students attending a university or college located anywhere in the world and regardless of a student's nationality. To be eligible for a scholarship: - Students enrolled in programs related to vertical lift engineering and who show interest in pursuing a career in vertical flight technology. - A student does not need to be a member of the Vertical Flight Society, but we encourage you to explore the many benefits student membership can provide. - High school students are not eligible. - All applicants must be full-time students at the time of application (February). In addition, the student must be registered in the relevant engineering degree program at least one (1) academic term after the scholarship awards, which are presented at the Society's Annual Forum in May. - Technical disciplines related to complex aeronautics engineering or aviation systems, even if not considered vertical lift engineering, will receive equal consideration. - A student can receive an award once as an Undergraduate, once as a Master's student, and once as a Graduate student.

“The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund,” is open to United States citizens, both men and women, single or married, irrespective of race, creed, or color. The age limit is between 18 and 35 years. Award amounts vary annually and range from $500 to $5,000 per recipient. At the discretion of the Committee, these may be awarded in quarterly installments. Amy Hunter-Wilson, MD, Scholarship: Established by Dr. Hunter-Wilson, this scholarship is available to American Indian students who pursue training or advanced education as doctors of medicine, nurses, or in a related health field. Award amounts vary, generally $1,000 or more. Scholarship deadline is February 1.

This scholarship honors the late Paul Ecke, Jr. of Encinitas, Calif., who made indispensable contributions to the advancement of the global floriculture industry. Among his many interests was concern for the future of floriculture, as influenced by innovative research and educational programs. He recognized that creative scientists and educators are required to lead the floral industry in the 21st century and beyond. Each year, one student will receive $5,000 for two consecutive years, providing that they continue to meet requirements for this duration and submit an annual update. John and Muriel Landis Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students who have greater than average financial need. Consideration is given to conditions or experiences that render the student disadvantaged (English as a Second Language, physical handicap, lack of undergraduate preparation, etc.). Applicants should be planning a career in nuclear science, nuclear engineering, or a nuclear-related field and be enrolled or planning to enroll in a college or university located in the United States, but need not be U.S. citizens. The Florence Kidder Memorial Scholarship (FKMS) honors the memory of the first president of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of North Carolina, Florence Hill Kidder. - Six scholarships will be awarded in one year: First place - $3,000, second place - $1,000, third place - $800 and three fourth places - $400. - Scholarships are not renewable. - Awarded to a high school senior who plans to attend a post-secondary institution in North Carolina.

Montana State University awards several million dollars in scholarships and waiver awards to new students who enter in the fall of each year. You might qualify for some of these scholarships based on your academic record, financial need, group affiliation, or a combination of the three. If you qualify, some scholarships and awards are automatically awarded when you are offered admission to Montana State University. The School of Art awards a minimum of 2 $3,000 scholarships every year to high school seniors based upon portfolio requirements. The scholarship is based primarily on a portfolio review of an uploaded PDF of work, grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher, and a short essay. Portfolios should consist of 10 works and all work must be submitted electronically with the application (as a single PDF file), no photographs or original work will be accepted. The essay requirement should be approximately 1 page single-spaced essay based on the applicant’s personal art experience and what you hope to gain in your chosen art profession. Those students wishing to pursue Studio Arts (painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, metalsmithing / jewelry and sculpture); Graphic Design and Art Education are eligible. Students must also be a declared art major in one of these areas in order to accept the scholarship. The deadline for this scholarship is the last week of February each year.

The Dan and Vicky Hancock Scholarship for Mechanical Engineering Excellence, established by Dan and Vicky Hancock, provides financial support for students pursuing college degrees in the field of mechanical engineering. A Kettering graduate, Dan enjoyed a 43-year automotive engineering career at General Motors where he served as Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances. A longtime SAE member, Dan is an SAE Fellow who served on the SAE Foundation Board of Trustees, the SAE International Board of Directors and is the former SAE International President. In 2011, Dan was elected to the National Academy of Engineering - one of the highest honors an engineer can receive.

The Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing an engineering degree at an ABET-accredited college or university. Don Mozley was a renowned broadcast journalist who spent 62 years working for CBS Radio and KCBS/74 in San Francisco. Hired by CBS in 1942, Don covered such historic events as WWII, the atomic bomb tests at Bikini the presidential campaigns of Nixon and Eisenhower, and the Senate race of Robert Taft. He received the Excellence in Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists' Northern California Chapter in recognition of his distinguished broadcasting career.

The Geiger Scholarship offers financial support for students interested in expanding their educational horizons through off-island enrichment and travel experiences, including summer camp, semester study abroad, and gap year programs. The application portal opens September 1st, 2025, and closes March 1st, 2026. Students are eligible for up to 4 Geiger Scholarships: once in grades 6-8, once in grades 9-12, once in college and once for a gap year. Must meet one or more of the following requirements: - Middle school through college students living on one of Maine’s year-round, unbridged islands - Currently enrolled in or graduated from the highest grade level available at your island school - Magnet student with a demonstrated commitment to their island school and enrolled in at least their second year or have plans to return for a second year.

Recognizing the need for a well-educated workforce, Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and the Idaho Legislature established the Opportunity Scholarship to remove barriers to higher education and prepare college/university graduates to enter the workforce. The Opportunity Scholarship awards eligible applicants up to $3,500 per academic year and is renewable for up to four years. The scholarship funds are available per academic year. Recipients must renew each year by March 1 and are eligible to receive the scholarship for a maximum of four years. My dad was a welder for much of his life and was passionate about the skilled trades. He was also concerned about the gap in the need for skilled tradespeople and the number of people pursuing this career path. In honor of my dad, we have established the Uniball's Skilled Trades Scholarship. With a focus on helping the next generation of welders pay for trade schooling, we will also consider all applicants pursuing a skilled trade such as electricians, plumbers, and more. The ideal applicant for this scholarship: Will be or is going to a trade school – welding, electrician, plumbing, etc. Has overcome some personal adversity. Is a high school senior or currently at a trade school.

As one small way to help the families of first responders, the A Heroes Family Scholarship exists to provide financial support for a current or former student who has lost a parent/guardian or spouse to an on-duty tragedy of a first responder. This includes those in law enforcement, fire, or the military. The scholarship is open to students at any education level, above and including, high school seniors. Those pursuing education at a 2 or 4-year college/university, graduate school, a professional certificate program, or a trade or vocational school are all welcome to apply.

MASWE = Men’s Auxiliary Society of Women Engineers MASWE was formed in 1968 by the husbands, brothers, fathers and colleagues who believed that engineering is a viable career choice for women and the cause needed support. MASWE is a tribute to men who supported women in engineering. It provides financial assistance to female students pursuing ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate programs in engineering, engineering technology, or related fields. The scholarship aims to empower women in STEM and recognizes their potential in engineering.

The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation International Scholarship operates in cooperation with the David Colegrave Foundation in London, England. Each year there will be an exchange of students between the U.S. and Europe, alternating between the two countries. Scholarship awards of $4,500 will be made. U.S. students should apply for this scholarship in even-numbered years (2022, 2024, etc.)
