This is a memorial scholarship honoring Aspen Ross who was an exceptional teacher and highly valued education. This is an annual $2000 scholarship awarded to a selected outstanding student. Requirements Must be a current USA resident. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better –must provide most recent high school or college transcripts for proof of GPA. The purpose of the program is to encourage exemplary graduate students to continue to pursue a curriculum leading to a Masters or Doctorate degree in Animal, Meat, Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition or Public Health from an accredited program. The 2025-2026 Scholarship Program is administered by the Meat Foundation Board of Directors, and supported by selection committee of distinguished academics. Financial need, age, gender or national origin are not conditions of eligibility for any of the award. Only graduate students pursuing an approved program in Animal, Meat, Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, Public Health or related discipline at an accredited educational institution are eligible. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA) to apply. Applicants must have the recommendation of a faculty member familiar with their work. Applications must be enrolled in an approved program at the time the scholarship becomes effective. Applicants who receive an award must remain enrolled in the approved major and educational institution. Awardees who withdraw from school or transfer to another major during the term of their scholarship must return the award to the Meat Foundation. Scholarship applications are not annually renewed. Each student must submit a completely new application with all required attachments for each program year. Scholarship recipients may retain awards upon transfer to another school provided that the transfer is to an approved Animal/Meat/Food or related program and that the department/program head that the new school verifies enrollment by writing to the Meat Foundation.

Applicants to the Girls for Gaming Scholarship must discuss their impact in helping empower and educate girls and young women on the various roles within the gaming industry with the purpose of driving and normalizing gender diversity within gaming. Applicants MUST intend to pursue a career or be working as an early professional (within their first four years in the industry) in any aspect of the business of game development including but not limited to: law, public relations/marketing, business management, and human resources. The Hope for Healing Scholarship is an evergreen offering that awards two recipients annually. The purpose of the scholarship, awarded to one undergraduate and one graduate student each year, is to encourage more of America’s best and brightest to pursue a vocation in the field of addiction and mental health. Undergraduate - Undergraduate Scholarship applicants must be currently enrolled in a four-year degree program or show proof of acceptance to an institution that offers four-year degrees. - Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last completed academic year at a four-year institution, a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the most recent quarter or semester, or if no college has been completed a 3.5 high school GPA. - Academic focus in the area of mental and behavioral health or psychiatric nursing as demonstrated by a major or minor course of study Graduate - Graduate Scholarship applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program or show proof of acceptance to an institution that offers Masters and Doctorate degrees. - Must have graduated from an accredited four-year institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher - Academic focus in an area of study related to mental and behavioral health, nursing or addiction medicine

Founded in 2022, this $4,000 scholarship is flexible in its structure, with a minimum of $3,000 applied to tuition, but the option to apply $1,000 towards travel to the annual conference. The tuition funds are sent directly to the recipients' educational institution to cover the costs of tuition or registration fees. Funds applied towards travel to the annual conference can be applied to travel or lodging. Conference registration is included. The George Blood LP Women in Audiovisual Archiving and Technology Scholarship is designed to facilitate the advanced education and training of women who wish to pursue careers in technical areas of audiovisual archives. The student selected as a Scholarship recipient will receive a $4,000 scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year. Funds will be sent to the student’s educational institution and credited toward tuition and/or registration fees. In addition, the recipient will receive complimentary registration to the 2024 or the 2025 conference. To be considered for a scholarship, an applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements: - Applicant must be enrolled full time in a graduate-level or other advanced program in moving image studies, library or information science, archival administration, museum studies or a related discipline; or must be accepted into such a program for the next academic year. - Applicant must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in his/her current or most recently completed academic program.

The AKC Humane Fund’s mission is to promote the cause of responsible pet ownership. Our newest grant opportunity will provide scholarships for students who are pursuing educational programs that include responsible pet ownership in their curriculum. For example, individuals pursuing studies in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, physical therapy, animal care, animal behavior, grooming and training may be eligible for this grant. The Fund plans to award five scholarships per year, totaling $10,000 annually, payable as tuition assistance to accredited institutions where students are enrolled in courses of study focusing on the care of pets. By helping to make education in these fields attainable for more students, we hope the result will be better educated owners and an improvement in the lives of pets in the long run.

The James A Wharton Scholarship was established at the Community Foundation of North Central Washington in 2017 to encourage and support students entering the collision repair industry and other trades. The Youth NABC is held during the Summer NABC, and is open to all ACBL Youth members (age 20 and under) with fewer than 5000 Masterpoints. Scholarships are awarded for Swiss Teams, Pairs and Sportsmanship. The Erin Berry Fund is available to help youth travel to the event. Applicants should pre-register by June 1st. A $4,000 college scholarship provided by the ACBL Educational Foundation is awarded to the winners of the National Youth Swiss Teams. (Award is divided equally between the team). This needs-based scholarship is available to spouses or children of injured Washington workers whose injury while at work in Washington State resulted in a permanent inability to return to work (a pension under the claim) or death. Money is available for college undergraduates, technical school students, or other accredited schools. Scholarship Applications are due June 1st for the fall semester and November 1st for the winter or spring semester of each year for processing. Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, fees, room and board, and general living expenses. Scholarships are paid directly to the school where the student is enrolled full-time. Annual award amounts are based on available resources and need. The amount may range from $500 to $6,000 per year. **Kids’ Chance of Washington has established a fund to help eligible high school students with expenses associated with Running Start. Great Hereford chefs of all ages are asked to think outside of the box and channel their inner Pioneer Woman or Gordon Ramsay and create the ultimate NJHA cooking show episode. This contest encourages creativity, communication, knowledge of Certified Hereford Beef’s end product, and ultimately having fun. Your creativity is your best friend – all great chefs are creative geniuses, and this is your moment to shine. The event is sponsored jointly by Certified Hereford Beef and the National Junior Hereford Association. This contest is available for all age divisions. RULES *See the application for all rules. 1. The Advanced Speech Contest is designed to encourage interest in promoting the beef industry and projecting Herefords in a positive image through public speaking. The emphasis on the Advanced Speech contest is to develop leaders who can not only speak in a public setting and represent the industry well. The National Hereford Women (NHW) sponsor the contest. RULES *See the application for all rules. INTERMEDIATE & SENIOR CONTEST ONLY 1. Contestants must be a member of the National Junior Hereford Association. 2. The intermediate division is for youth 14-17 and the senior division is for youth 18-21 as of Jan. 1. 3. Speeches will be 3 to 7 minutes in length. Following the speech, time will be allowed for questions from the judges Contests will be judged on the following: • Subject Knowledge (30%) • Organization (10%) • Presentation (30%) • Response to Questions (20%) • General Effectiveness (10%)

FUTURE PROFESSIONALS CONTEST In conjunction with the NJHA’s Bridging the Gap College and Career Fair, the objective of the contest is for NJHA members to create a resume based on factual work, experiences, education, etc., of the junior that can be used for future career and educational purposes. Resumes will be judged prior to the Junior National Hereford Expo each year. This is an Intermediate and Senior contest ONLY. Materials such as a resume and cover letter are due prior to the JNHE. The top senior and intermediate applicants based on their paperwork, will be required to attend the JNHE for a live interview with industry leaders and professionals concurrent with the Bridging the Gap event at the JNHE. RULES *See the application for all rules. RULES INTERMEDIATE & SENIOR CONTEST ONLY 1. Contestants must be a member of the NJHA. 2. The intermediate division is for youth 14-17 and the senior division is for youth 18-21 as of Jan. 1. 3. Please submit your most up to date current resume and cover letter. 4. An upload of the job description in some format is required for those in the senior age division. TOPICS 1. Intermediate contestants will submit a cover letter and resume tailored towards applying for a scholarship through the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA). 2. Senior contestants will apply for any job position of their choice. In the objective of your resume/cover letter, please list the job title/explain the job you are applying for.

Oral Reasons Contest The purpose of the Oral Reasons Contest is to help youth learn how to evaluate cattle and efficiently speak to the decisions they make when judging cattle, as well as further develop their speaking and sales skills. The contest will be held in conjunction with the Junior National Hereford Expo. NOTE: The Senior Oral Reasons scores will not be counted towards individual or team awards in the Judging Contest. This contest is separate and not required for any senior judging competitors. Only senior contestants are eligible (18-21 years of age as of Jan. 1). There are no prior requirements to the JNHE other than registering to compete in both the Oral Reasons Contest and the JNHE Judging Contest.

ILLUSTRATED SPEECH CONTEST The purpose of the Illustrated Speech Contest is to encourage public speaking and leadership abilities in youth, to develop character and leadership in Hereford youth and promote interest in the beef industry and project Herefords in a positive image. The National Hereford Women in cooperation with the National Junior Hereford Association sponsor this contest. This is a Peewee and Junior division contest ONLY. There are no prior requirements to the JNHE other than registering to compete. PEEWEE CONTEST DETAILS 1. Length: 2-4 minutes * No points will be deducted for speech lengths of 1 1/2 minutes to 4 1/2 minutes. After that, each 30-second period over or under will result in a 10-point deduction. 2. An additional 2 to 4 minutes will be allowed following the oral presentation for judge's questions. JUNIOR CONTEST DETAILS 1. Length: 3-5 minutes *No points will be deducted for speech lengths of 2 1/2 minutes to 5 1/2 minutes. After that, each 30-second period over or under will result in a 10-point deduction. 2. An additional 2 to 4 minutes will be allowed following the oral presentation for judge questions.

The Careers That Work! program was launched in 1999. Each year, every high school in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington (public and private)are given five $1000 tuition scholarships to award to graduating students headed to one of the participating career colleges. Seniors awarded the Careers That Work! by their high school are not restricted to colleges within their home state. That means seniors graduating in Idaho, Oregon or Washington may be awarded the scholarship for attendance at any participating private career college in any of those three states. The contest continues her work and legacy, asking Tennessee students to create projects that reflect how the lessons of the Holocaust are relevant to current events and their own lives. The F. J. McGuigan Dissertation Award, supports dissertation research that addresses any aspect of mental function (e.g., cognition, affect, motivation) and seeks to understand the mind from both a behavioral and neural perspective. Proposed research should be compatible with McGuigan’s overall goals and may fall within any area of contemporary behavioral or brain science (including more recent forms of cognitive psychology). The Scholarship Committee selects recipients quarterly, aiming to award scholarships to women who demonstrate a strong passion and determination for careers in the automotive, mobility, and related fields. Participation in Greek life or extracurricular activities/clubs is recommended.

Margot Pickering Bogner was a beloved and passionate attorney licensed in the state of Kansas and Missouri. She believed that success in practicing law was attributed to three factors: the ability to communicate diligently, making empathetic decisions, and gaining the trust of those around you. She vigorously pursued these skills as a student, as an apprentice, and as a practicing attorney. To honor her legacy and continue her tradition of placing people over profit, the Margot Pickering Aspiring Attorney Scholarship will support a pre- law student at Kansas State University, or current law students studying at any university across the US. Students are eligible to apply if they have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
