The American Indian Endowed Scholarship (AIES) helps students with financial need who have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian community in Washington State. Students can use the scholarship at public colleges and many independent colleges in Washington. The program prioritizes upper-division and graduate-level students, but all applicants are considered. Award amounts range from around $500 to $2,000. Ten to 15 students are selected each year to receive the awards. Students may get AIES funding for up to five years, but must reapply each year. Many past recipients have careers in law, medicine, education, business, and resource management. All have returned, or plan to return, to their tribal communities to work on behalf of Indian peoples within the state.

The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship was created in 1964 to promote and encourage graduate education by rewarding the Association's most accomplished student-athletes through their participation in NCAA championship and/or emerging sports. It provides a $10,000 one-time award given to student-athletes who have excelled academically and athletically, and who plan to pursue graduate school. Up to 126 scholarships are awarded each year—split evenly between men and women—across the fall, winter and spring sport seasons. All former student-athletes who earned an undergraduate degree from an NCAA member school are eligible to be nominated by that school for an NCAA graduate degree scholarship, regardless of when they received their undergraduate degree. Who is eligible? Student-athletes at an active NCAA member institution who: - Must be in the final season of NCAA athletics eligibility or must have completed athletic eligibility, - Must be in final year of undergraduate academic work or received an undergraduate degree. - Have an overall undergraduate minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.200 (based on a 4.000 scale) or its equivalent, including all undergraduate hours earned at all undergraduate institutions attended. The grade-point average may not include any graduate-level hours. - Have performed with distinction as a varsity team member in the sport in which the student-athlete is being nominated. One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to students from grade 3 through university and above, based on the student’s grade level (through age 25). As an example of the appropriate entrant category, students who have completed grade 11 at the time of making/producing the film and submit an entry before commencing grade 12 will be considered entrants for grade 12. The Contest accepts submissions from students living outside the U.S. Entrants may submit a film of no shorter than 3 minutes and no longer than 8 minutes. However, the sponsor will accept and consider short animated films. The minimum length for animated submissions is 45 seconds. Topics differ based on age group.

Tom LoCasale represented the good in the world and improved the lives of those around him. Tom believed that a happy, healthy, and productive life came from a set of skills and was always working on bettering himself. Tom was able to develop patience, perseverance, and character through his practice of golf. He spent many years volunteering with First Tee, introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to youth. This scholarship seeks to honor Tom LoCasale’s life by supporting students who have learned valuable life skills through the sport of golf. Any high school senior who plays golf may apply for this scholarship. The Sean Kelly Memorial Scholarship aims to honor Sean by supporting high school seniors from low income families who are interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree. First-generation high school senior athletes with a 3.5 GPA may apply.

Each year, Philadelphia Foundation awards more than 200 scholarships from funds we manage. The Philadelphia Foundation is now using a Common Scholarship Application. She had over 27 years of experience as a registered nurse and aided in the delivery of an estimated 3,000 babies in Tri Cities, WA. Her passion for nursing was cut short in August 2021 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She spent her last few months on Earth living it to the fullest, knocking things off her bucket-list, and continuing to inspire others before passing away peacefully in January of 2022. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend, and left behind a legacy of compassion and strength. To honor her memory, the Martha Galvez Memorial Scholarship will support a hardworking, motivated student who plans to pursue a career in nursing. The Charles B. Staats Memorial Foundation (CBSMF) Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who is also a swim coach. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a civil or environmental engineering or physical/environmental science undergraduate program at a Virginia college, community college, or university, full-time, attending in the spring and fall semesters. Eligible students must have a 2.75 or greater grade point average. Judging of the applicants will be performed anonymously by the VWEA Scholarship Committee using a weighted ranking system. The selection criteria are as follows: a. Academic Performance (25 points), b. Extracurricular activities (25 points), c. Work / research experience (25 points), and d. 500-word Essay on a water environment topic of your choice (25 points).

Scholarship is open to International students planning to pursue their studies outside their home country. Applicants must be an international student, that is, you cannot be a citizen or a permanent resident of a country that you will be studying in Fall 2025.
