Lando LaKeith Young was a beloved friend who passed away far too soon on January 9th, 2025. Lando was loved by everyone in his whole town of Jefferson, Texas as well as at the school he taught at in Cypress, Texas for twenty years (Cypress-Fairbanks). Lando was a coach and math teacher who changed the lives of over 30,000 kids over the course of his career. Lando was a kinesiology major at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas, and was passionate about sports. This scholarship aims to honor the life and legacy of Lando Young by supporting students in his honor. The Springfield Research Fund Dissertation Fellowship supports graduate students at any stage of their dissertation who are interested in researching contemporary LGBTQIA+ issues in an effort to dispel stereotypes and other negative information that leads to prejudice and discrimination. The 2025 area of preference will be given to dissertation research that addresses intersectional stigmas. One fellowship of up to $10,000 is available. Hawaii Education Association Student Teacher Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Hawaii Education Association (HEA) and their children during their student teaching semester.

To be eligible for the SMA Native American STEM Scholarship, applicants must: be an enrolled member of federally recognized Pueblo, Nation or Tribe in the United States; be either a high school graduate or a full-time college undergrad student enrolled at an accredited college or university; major in a STEM field; must not have been placed on disciplinary or academic probation at any time; and have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.00. The Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology (DFBSST) is an endowment fund which provides scholarships to African-American undergraduate students who enroll in scientific or technical fields of study at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). DFBSST identifies students through the assistance of Engineering and Science Department deans and professors at pre-selected, predominantly Black colleges and universities. DFBSST requests the deans and faculty members to identify a specified number of students that they would like to be considered for scholarships, and to pass on DFBSST scholarship application forms to these students. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for scholarships offered by DFBSST, all applicants must meet the following criteria: - African-American, undergraduate student majoring (or intending to major) in a technical field of study (i.e., engineering, math, science, etc.), - Be enrolled (or identify his or her intention to enroll) at one of the predominantly Black colleges or universities listed below, and - Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Every year, the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame awards scholarships to outstanding Oregon student-athletes who will be attending Oregon colleges. To be eligible for the WIA Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must be interested in pursuing a career in the aerospace field and be a rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math or science.
