The Alaska Education Grant is state-funded, and administered by the Alaska Commission for Postsecondary Education (ACPE). Grant awards typically range from $500 to $4,000 per academic year. Award criteria includes: -Financial need, determined by the student's Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) as shown on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) -Prior academic year award recipient -Date of FAFSA filing -Enrollment level (full-time vs. half-time), as certified by the student's institution of attendance To receive the maximum award, qualifying students must be enrolled in at least 15 credit hours for "On Time" enrollment status. Eligibility To qualify for an Alaska Education Grant a student must: -Be an Alaska resident for at least 365 days prior to filling the FAFSA, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident -Have a high school diploma or GED -Be admitted into an undergraduate degree or vocational certificate program at a qualifying Alaska institution -Be enrolled at minimum half-time status -Not have earned a prior baccalaureate degree -Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), meaning maintaining a GPA of 2.0+ and completing 67% of attempted classes. The Transition to Teaching Scholarship provides students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a one-time, non-renewable scholarship of up to $10,000. In exchange, students agree to teach full-time for five years at an eligible Indiana school or repay the corresponding, prorated amount of the scholarship. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS To qualify, a student must: -possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited postsecondary four (4) year institution; -enroll in a Transition to Teaching program described in IC 20-28-4; -be employed or volunteer at a K-12 school in the state of Indiana; -agree in writing to: complete a Transition to Teaching program described in IC 20-28-4 and obtain an initial practitioner license under IC 20-28; -teach full-time for at least five (5) years in a public school or an eligible school (as defined in IC 20-51-1-4.7) in Indiana after obtaining the initial practitioner license under IC 20-28-4-6; -meet any other criteria established by the Commission.

The Adult Student Grant is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of working adults starting or completing an associate degree, bachelor's degree or certificate by providing a grant up to $2,000 for the academic year. The grant may be used toward tuition and regularly assessed fees. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS Applicant must: -Be an Indiana resident and a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen; -Be financially independent as determined by the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need*; -Be enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a course of study leading to an associate or first bachelor's degree, or a certificate at Ivy Tech Community College or Vincennes University; -Be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours or their equivalent in any academic term; -Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by your institution; -Complete at least eighteen (18) credit hours or their equivalent in the previous academic year to renew; -Meet any other minimum criteria established by the Commission.

Sport Clips supports future professionals with education, contests, and scholarships, fostering an environment of continuous development and success for both your career and personal goals. Sport Clips is awarding up to 10 students who are enrolled in a Barber or Cosmetology School program, a $5,000 scholarship. A selection committee will review all eligible applications. There is no limit to the number of applicants from a school but there will be no more than two scholarship recipients chosen from an individual school per year for this program. The scholarships will be applied toward tuition and education expenses owed to the school. The check will be made payable to the school on behalf of the student. Scholarship recipient’s names and video footage may be used for marketing and promotional purposes as well as use on the web. Applicants must be in good standing as of the submission date. Applicants must have maintained at least 80% attendance, 80% grade average and demonstrate financial need. The Alice Madden Barton Scholarship Program: A Great Clips Cosmetology School Scholarship for current students, high school students, and anyone interested in cosmetology or barbering as a career, can apply for a scholarship through the Alice Madden Barton Scholarship program. These scholarships can be used at any cosmetology or barbering school. The scholarships are given out twice a year in January and July to applicants who can demonstrate a passion for the craft and dedication to developing their skills. The completion of Electrology School leads to the professional designation of Licensed Electrologist (L.E.). Electrologists are self-employed business people who grow the economy through their efforts in the marketplace. he OppU Achievers Scholarship celebrates achievement in its many forms and honors those who create opportunity for themselves and others. Founded in 2016, the scholarship provides $2,500 for current or future education costs. Scholarship selections are made four times a year. Annually, the OppU Achievers Scholarship awards a total of $10,000 to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement.

All employees have access to a $28,000 scholarship benefit as soon as they pass their first skills test. This training takes the average employee 12 weeks, with some completing their training in as little as six weeks. Employees can use this scholarship for any college, vocational or self-improvement program. In order to be eligible for the scholarship benefit, an employee must continue to work a minimum of 20 hours per week throughout the duration of the program.

Industry jobs cannot be overlooked, so this scholarship will encourage students to take their own path toward a trade school education. Students from Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia are eligible to apply if they are going to trade school, or a traditional 2 or 4 year college for a STEM career, with a focus on engineering. The Susan E. Stutz McDonald Scholarship was established in 2017 by the Susan E. Stutz-McDonald Scholarship Foundation. SWE members in their graduate studies pursuing an engineering degree focused on water/wastewater engineering with undergraduate degrees in chemical, civil or environmental engineering focused on water/wastewater engineering are eligible to apply. U.S. citizenship and SWE membership required. US schools only. Minimum GPA of 3.5.

Meredith was born in Nebraska in 1908. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1925. She was the first woman to graduate with a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska in 1929 and a Master of Civil Engineering in 1931. She was a member of Delta Zeta and was elected to two honorary fraternities: Pi Mu Epsilon and Sigma Xi. Meredith left a significant bequest to SWE to fund scholarships. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply and the scholarships are renewable for 2 additional years.

BK (as she was always known in SWE) was born on the 4th of July, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri and passed away in 1989. She received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from University of Kansas. Throughout her career, she continued her education by taking numerous specialty courses. BK had a large extended family that she cherished. She had a great sense of humor and a special bumper sticker on her car: “Women are leaders, you are following one”

Lydia joined SWE in 1955 as a member of the Pacific Northwest Section and later became a Senior Life Member of SWE and was elected to Fellow grade in 1984. She was chair of the 1962 National Convention in Seattle (the first four-day convention) and served in many other national positions. Lydia was elected as national SWE President for 1968-69. One goal was to visit as many student sections as she could to provide guidance. Lydia participated in at least the first nine International Conventions of Women Engineers and Scientists. Lydia left a bequest to the SWE Scholarship Fund. The Trustees created this scholarship for graduate students. The scholarship is renewable for an additional 4 years.

Yvonne Claeys Brill (1924-2013) was a pioneering propulsion engineer and tireless advocate for women in the engineering profession. Yvonne was married to William F. Brill from 1951 until his death in 2010. They are survived by three children and four grandchildren, all of whom have pursued careers in science and engineering. Additionally, six extended family members followed this pathway. Originally named “The Brill Family Scholarship” to recognize all the technical talent in our family, we have chosen to rename this scholarship to honor Yvonne, who was an inspiration to us all.

The Wanda Munn Scholarship was endowed by the Eastern Washington Section in 2011. Reentry and nontraditional students in any engineering related major is eligible to apply. Geographical preference is giving to students who live in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Susan was the backbone and leader of the New York Section for many years. She was an active, reliable grass-roots volunteer. SWE had recently hosted a Regional Conference in New York City and Susan Miszkowicz was the Conference Chair. The theme was “Gearing Up for the New Millennium: Business & Leadership Skills for a Diverse Workforce.” She had served as Vice President of the New York Section, and rose to the position of President before SWE lost her at the age of 38 in the attacks on the World Trade Center. Susan was active in several other organizations such as American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). She served SWE and ASME in many capacities, and was also an active volunteer with a number of other organizations, including the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City and several animal rescue groups. The scholarship endowment was funded in 2002 by the New York Section and friends in SWE. It honors all the victims.

Mental health issues are among the most common health issues affecting individuals and families today. Mental illness can make it a challenge for families by not only affecting those who suffer directly but also those suffering indirectly. The Elizabeth Schalk Memorial Scholarship will not only help fund a student's education, but will also memorialize Elizabeth Schalk, who suffered from mental illness throughout her life. High school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students are eligible to apply if they have a mental illness or have been impacted by mental illness in their family. As a way to support African American women through their educational journey, the Dr. Jade Education Scholarship will award students earning a graduate degree while simultaneously working full-time. The Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) Study Abroad Scholarship Program for American Minority Students offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students of African American, Hispanic American, and Native American descent to study in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This program supports up to 100 students annually and provides funding to experience a unique study abroad opportunity in a country rich in history and culture.

The ARRL Foundation offers scholarships to active FCC-licensed amateur radio operators who are pursuing higher education. The Samuel Huntington Public Service Award provides $30,000 stipends to graduating college seniors to pursue public service anywhere in the world. The Award allows recipients to engage in a meaningful public service activity for one year before proceeding on to graduate school or a career. Full-time Oregon community college students, including Oregon residents attending any out-of-state community college, who will be transferring in the fall to an accredited Oregon university and plan to major in accounting, are eligible to apply for the Community College Transfer Student Scholarship. Income to be used for the education, training, or other assistance of handicapped students or students preparing themselves for work with handicapped children. The University is free to determine the amount of the scholarship to aid pupils who could not otherwise prepare themselves for this work. The Electrochemical Society has been offering summer fellowships since early 1928. These awards were established to assist students during the summer months, June through September, in the pursuit of work in a field of interest to ECS. In order to qualify for these fellowships, one must be enrolled in a college or university in addition to being a member of ECS. Purpose To promote the study of tropical horticulture and landscape architecture. Due to IRS restrictions, the GCA is unable to fund awards for international applicants. Travel must commence within 12 months of the award. Provisions Provides $5,000 to a well-qualified graduate student or undergraduate student specializing in tropical horticulture, botany, or landscape architecture for the purpose of studying abroad at botanical institutions. Scholarship funds the international study of tropical horticulture or landscape architecture. This does not mean that the scholar’s study needs to take place in a tropical climate. The scholar could study in temperate regions as long as the destination is international. Application Guidelines: 1) A 1-page description of your research endeavors and how the scholarship will support these endeavors. 2) A proposed itinerary along with any potential or confirmed collaborating institutions for your international study of tropical horticulture or architecture. 3) A 1-page budget for the travel and study proposed. 4) A 1-page CV 5)School transcripts (Colleges and universities, highschool transcripts not needed) 6)Two letters of recommendation.

Academic scholarships are monetary awards used to support CAP Cadets pursuing their undergraduate or graduate education. Monies are to be used for tuition, books, or room and board at any post-secondary school (i.e: college, university, vocational-technical school, etc.). Scholarship recipients must ensure that the money is used responsibly. Applicants may pursue any course of study. This year, scholarships will be made in varying amounts from $1,000 to $2,500. All applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements including: - Must have earned Billy Mitchell Award or higher - Must be a high school senior, high school graduate, or hold a GED. - Must be accepted to a college/school or provide proof that an application has been made. - Must attend a post-secondary school or college - Must be enrolled in a course of study during the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded. - Must submit at least one but not more than three letters of recommendation written by someone who is familiar with the cadets' accomplishments in CAP. - Must submit a resume, detailing any academic, community or CAP activities.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria: - be a self-identifying woman, and at least 25 years old at time of application deadline; - be a national of a country listed on the MMEG country eligibility list (except for the Trinity Washington University Program); - be registered (not just accepted or enrolled) at an accredited in-person academic institution and program when submitting their application (exclusively online programs are ineligible); - plan to be enrolled for at least one full academic semester (half-year term) after award of the MMEG grant; - plan to graduate no later than three years after the award of the MMEG grant; - not be related to a World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, or Inter-American Development Bank staff member, spouse, retiree, or MMEG Board member. - complete an application and (for finalists) be prepared to be interviewed in English for South Africa, US-Canada, and Trinity Washington University programs, in Spanish for the LAC Program, and in French for the France Program. In addition to the general eligibility criteria, applicants must: - already be enrolled as a full-time student, with relevant and valid student visa in national passport (Form I-20 may be submitted); - plan to continue studying full-time for at least one academic semester (half year) following the award of the MMEG grant in April; - plan to graduate no later than three years following the award of the MMEG grant; - not hold US citizenship or permanent residency (green card) or Canadian citizenship or Canadian landed immigrant status.

This scholarship is designed to assist eligible students in their pursuit of an academic degree in anthropology, or a clearly related degree program/curriculum, or interdisciplinary degree that includes anthropology as a significant component. Students should have an interest in the anthropology of the north. The scholarship will be used to help underwrite a program consisting of at least eight academic credits. If fewer credits are taken, it is required that the student be engaged in full-time work toward a degree. Funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, or other expenses related to the pursuit of a degree. Scholarships are not intended to underwrite part-time studies or to cover expenses of doing fieldwork not directly connected with academic courses. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate program and be a member of the Alaska Anthropological Association (i.e., current year dues must be paid at or before time of application). The scholarship may be used at any appropriate institution. Scholarship funds must be expended within one year of being granted and may not be used retroactively. The primary evaluation criterion will be evidence of promise in and commitment to the field of anthropology. The Bird Dog Foundation's Annual Youth Art Contest for grades K-12 is held each year and has become very popular with local students. The program is available for students of schools or home schools that are within a 75 mile radius of the National Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction, TN. We receive hundreds of entries each year from area schools. The deadline for submissions is January 15th of each year. Scholarship Benefits CWIT Scholars receive four-year scholarships ranging from $5,000 – $15,000 per academic year for in-state students, and from $10,000 – $22,000 per academic year for out-of-state students, to cover full tuition, mandatory fees, and other expenses. Each CWIT Scholar participates in special courses and activities and receive mentoring from faculty and participating members of the IT and engineering communities. For incoming freshmen in Fall 2025, the completed CWIT Scholars application and supporting documents must be submitted to the Scholarships Office by January 15.

The Florida Education Fund (FEF) offers a doctoral scholarship for African American and Hispanic students at participating Florida universities. Scholarships provide a tuition waiver and living stipend. STEM and business students are particularly encouraged to apply. The Award: Up to 50 Fellowships are awarded annually to study at one of nine participating Florida universities. Each award provides annual tuition up to $5,000 (tuition above this amount is waived by the participating institution) for each of three academic years plus an annual stipend of $12,000. (An additional two years of support at this same level is provided by the participating institution.) The award also includes a comprehensive system of counseling and professional development support.

Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue further education. These scholarships are designed to support students enrolling in accredited colleges, universities, or vocational schools and must be used during the first year of full-time study. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient’s chosen educational institution. The number of awards varies each year, based on the Foundation’s discretion.

The award is based on academic merit and is not automatically renewable, however, recipients may reapply for consideration as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.

A preferred amount $5,000 scholarship awarded to one student either attending or planning to attend an approved, accredited medical school, college, or university. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is not automatically renewable; however, recipients may reapply for consideration each year for up to four consecutive years, pending receipt of proof of continued enrollment (no pre–med, veterinarian, or physician assistant), and after the first semester, an annual transcript review indicating a minimum GPA of 3.25.

Purpose: To provide funding for professional development experiences for English/language arts teachers working in public educational institutions. The scholarship supports postgraduate training to enhance teaching skills and/or career development in teaching. Eligibility: Applicants are required to be teachers of English/language arts in a publicly funded institution. At the time of the award, the recipient must also be a member of NCTE. Criteria: Applicants must complete the application form below. It includes a written statement of no more than 500 words indicating: The professional development experience for which you seek support, including specific details such as course titles, planned dates of study, fees, etc. Why you feel that you should be considered for this scholarship and how it will serve you in your career.

The Irene and Daisy MacGregor Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two students of high scholastic standing and character who have been accepted into or are pursuing an approved course of study to become a medical doctor (no pre-med, veterinarian or physician assistant) at an approved, accredited medical school. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is also available to students who have been accepted into or who are pursuing an approved course of study in the field of psychiatric nursing at the graduate level at accredited medical schools, colleges, or universities. There is a preference to females "if equally qualified."

A one-time $2,500 award is given to three students who are in financial need and who have been accepted or is currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. A letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript stating the applicant is in a nursing program must be included with the application.

The Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded for up to four years to two children or step children of dues-paying DAR members. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. Outstanding recipients pursuing graduate study may reapply each year for an additional period of up to four years of study. The DAR member number of the mother, who is a current-dues paying member, must be included with the application.

The William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship honors the esteemed Texas journalist who coined the phrase “Right to Work” and contributed greatly to the movement’s advancement. One $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to the student who exemplifies the dedication to the Right to Work principles and high journalistic standards of the late Mr. Ruggles. Individuals seeking to attend or individuals attending a United States institution of higher learning (undergraduate or graduate) who have demonstrated journalistic skills or major in journalism may apply. Applicants must: -Demonstrate potential for the successful completion of the educational requirements in an accredited college, university, or other qualifying institution. This includes (a) supplying a copy of your most recent transcript or acceptance letter from the school you are or will attend, and (b) providing proof that you are or will be enrolled in the school’s journalism program or proof of your journalistic skills by actual journalistic works, which can include social media. -Demonstrate your writing ability and an understanding of the Right to Work principles and compulsory unionism’s economic and social problems by submitting a 500 – 700-word essay.

The Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded to two students who are accepted or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Applicants must be members, descendant of members or be eligible for membership in NSDAR. The DAR member number must be in the Application.

This scholarship is awarded once a year to a Native American college and technical student of any age, any tribe and in any state who has financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.25 based on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent GPA on the scaled used by the applicable educational institution. Applicants must be Native Americans and must be able to prove membership in a tribe that is recognized at a state and/or federal level. These awards are available for vocational training or college/university undergraduate or graduate students. Preference is given to undergraduate applicants. The amount of the scholarship is $4,000.00 and more than one may be awarded each year.

The Mary Elizabeth Lockwood Beneventi MBA Scholarship is a one-time preferred amount $2,000 scholarship for a student attending graduate school full time in an accredited college or university and majoring in business administration. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.25. The scholarship is not automatically renewable, however, recipients may reapply for consideration each year.

The DAR Centennial Scholarship is awarded to two outstanding students pursuing a course of graduate study in the field of historic preservation at a college or university in the United States. This scholarship was established from a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Centennial Pin. This is a one-time award in the amount of $2,500.

Each year, the interest earned from the Shropshire Scholarship fund is used to provide these awards. The scholarship fund is currently benefited by the Civitan International Fellows Programs and direct contributions. The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation Flight Training Scholarship provides funding for flight training and ground school. Applicant must have completed or commit to complete a Private Pilot Written Ground School with authorization to take the written exam BEFORE an award will be granted. We would like to learn about achievements you have earned. You must receive two letters of recommendation on file for your application to be scored. The “Mom to Scholar” Scholarship for Mothers is open to mothers who want to begin or resume their journey towards earning a technical or college degree. The “Gutsy” Graduate Student Essay Scholarship aims to help lessen the financial burden for a passionate graduate student who is actively looking for ways to fund their higher education journey. The “Gusty Graduate Student” Essay Scholarship is open to incoming or current graduate students. The SWE Past Presidents Scholarship was endowed in 2008. The Ada I. Pressman Memorial Scholarship is renewable for five years. All engineering majors are eligible. Those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program may apply for this scholarship. Students who attend an ABET-accredited community college program full-time are also eligible. Applicants do not have to be a member of SWE to be eligible for SWE scholarships. SWE considers academic achievements, participation in extracurricular or volunteer activities, and interest in engineering. A personal reference and STEM reference are required. The personal reference must be a person who has known the applicant for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the applicant's family. For the STEM reference, it is highly recommended that the reference be someone in a STEM field who is familiar with the applicant's academic work.
