In furthering our mission to increase and retain the number of individuals choosing the transit field as a career, the APTF will award a minimum of thirty scholarships, ranging from $5,000 to $12,000 to college students or transit professionals who are interested in pursuing or advancing in a career in the public transportation industry. Formerly known as ForEverglades Scholarships & Fellowships, these awards are intended to support outstanding graduate research in areas related to the current and future restored Everglades ecosystem.

The G.B. Mann Scholarship is awarded to current high school senior students who attend school in the Dallas Branch region (Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall Counties) and who will be attending an institution of higher learning in the upcoming fall semester in pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Environmental Engineering. The American Coal Ash Association Educational Foundation (ACAAEF) is accepting applications for scholarships from students with an interest in the beneficial use of coal combustion products (CCP). Both currently-enrolled graduate and undergraduate students are invited to apply. The awards will be based on essays, coursework, academic credentials, and recommendations. The Jorian Kuran Harris (Shugg) Helping Heart Foundation Scholarship will support a student in one of these fields as they explore what a career in business will look like for them. The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) will award scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines that support NASA’s mission. For the Incoming Freshman Merit Scholarship, applicants must: be a US citizen; have a 3.0 GPA; and be enrolled full-time at DMACC, Drake, ISU, Loras, Morningside, UI or UNI. The Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship has similar requirements, except applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduates. Lando LaKeith Young was a beloved friend who passed away far too soon on January 9th, 2025. Lando was loved by everyone in his whole town of Jefferson, Texas as well as at the school he taught at in Cypress, Texas for twenty years (Cypress-Fairbanks). Lando was a coach and math teacher who changed the lives of over 30,000 kids over the course of his career. Lando was a kinesiology major at Stephen F. Hawaii Education Association Student Teacher Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Hawaii Education Association (HEA) and their children during their student teaching semester.

To be eligible for the SMA Native American STEM Scholarship, applicants must: be an enrolled member of federally recognized Pueblo, Nation or Tribe in the United States; be either a high school graduate or a full-time college undergrad student enrolled at an accredited college or university; major in a STEM field; must not have been placed on disciplinary or academic probation at any time; and have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.00. The number of scholarships awarded each year varies.

The purpose of this award is to stimulate interest in meteorology among college students through the submission of original student papers concerned with some phase of the atmospheric sciences. The Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology (DFBSST) is an endowment fund which provides scholarships to African-American undergraduate students who enroll in scientific or technical fields of study at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). DFBSST identifies students through the assistance of Engineering and Science Department deans and professors at pre-selected, predominantly Black colleges and universities. DFBSST requests the deans and faculty members to identify a specified number of students that they would like to be considered for scholarships, and to pass on DFBSST scholarship application forms to these students. African Americans represent about 11% of the US population, but only around 4% of doctors. So in addition to supporting underserved communities, it's important that we increase representation in medical schools, pharmacy schools, dental schools, and the healthcare field more broadly. Healthcare professionals dedicate their lives to public service and providing for local communities through their practice, but many prospective medical professionals don’t have the opportunity to graduate with a degree debt-free. The MedLuxe Representation Matters Scholarship is designed to support students dedicated to providing equitable healthcare opportunities for underrepresented minorities and low-income communities across the country.
