Wilma Hoyal-Maxine Chilton Memorial Scholarship

Each year, the Wilma Hoyal-Maxine Chilton Memorial Scholarship awards $1,000 to an Arizona resident (of at least one year) who is studying Political Science, Public Programs, or Special Education at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona. Applicants must also have completed at least 12 hours with a grade average of “B” or better, and be enrolled full-time. While honorably discharged veterans and immediate family members of a veteran will be given preference, neither is a requirement to apply.

To be considered for the scholarship, interested students must submit a completed application, a ~300-word resume including their background and career goals, three (3) letters of reference testifying to applicants’ character, study, and work habits, and transcripts.
