Scholarship Description
Scholarship Overview:
Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Wells Fargo are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools that include 57 publicly-supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), historically Black community colleges (HBCCs), publicly Black institutions (PBIs), medical and law schools. Sixty (60) scholars will be selected to receive a fall emergency gap scholarship of up to $1,000 for the 2025-2026 academic school year. Selected students must be in good academic standing but at risk of not returning or graduating from college due to an outstanding financial need, and/or emergency situation that leads to a financial-aid crisis.
Eligibility Requirements:
Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior at a TMCF member-school during the 2025-2026 academic school year
Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
Must have the 2025-2026 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551

Application Dates:
This application opens June 2, 2025, and closes December 1, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST (Eastern Time).
Additional Information:
The eligible total amount will be funded in one disbursement for the 2025-2026 academic year, based on the conditions outlined in the scholar’s contract.
