Region J: Northwest Star Legacy Scholarship

The Region J: Northwest Star Legacy Scholarship will be awarded to SWE members in any major and in their undergraduate or graduate studies attending universities or colleges in legacy Region J boundaries. This scholarship is renewable for up to five years. SWE considers academic achievements, participation in extracurricular or volunteer activities, and interest in engineering. Those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program may apply for this scholarship. Students who attend an ABET-accredited community college program full-time are also eligible. A personal reference and STEM reference are required. The personal reference must be a person who has known the applicant for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the applicant's family. For the STEM reference, it is highly recommended that the reference be someone in a STEM field who is familiar with the applicant's academic work. Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a graduate student
- Must attend a university, a four-year college or two-year
college
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Restricted to female students
- Must not be attending high school currently
- Must study full-time
- Restricted to students studying in Alaska, Idaho, Montana,
Oregon, Washington
- Restricted to students studying Engineering/Technology
- Must be affiliated with Society of Women Engineers
