Scholarship Description
Up to $5,000 in stipends are made available to nursing students and nurses pursuing a degree in nursing in the state of Mississippi through the Nurses Car Tag Program.
Criteria:
- Be a Mississippi Resident and hold current, unrestricted Mississippi RN license
- Have a “Nurses Touch Lives” license plate on personal vehicle at the time of application, and maintain during
receipt of funding
- Be a full time or part time student (3-year limit) in an accredited Nursing Masters or Doctoral Program at an
accredited Mississippi School of Nursing, as recognized by the MS IHL.
- Hold and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Execute an agreement with the Mississippi Nurses Foundation to be employed full-time as a nurse in Mississippi
within the first two years following completion of the program. If contract is broken, funds must be repaid, plus
interest.
