Scholarship Description
Up to $5,000 in stipends are made available to nursing students and nurses pursuing a degree in nursing in the state of Mississippi through the Nurses Car Tag Program.
Criteria:
Be a Mississippi resident
• Hold current, unrestricted Mississippi RN license (applies to licensed RN)
• Have a “Nurses Touch Lives” license plate on personal vehicle at the time of application, and maintain
during receipt of funding.
• Be a full-time student in an accredited Associate or Baccalaureate Nursing Program at an accredited
School of Nursing in Mississippi, recognized by the MS IHL.
• Hold and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in undergraduate curriculum and earn a GPA of at
least 3.0 for courses taken each semester of the stipend (fall and spring).
• Execute an agreement with the Mississippi Nurses Foundation to work as a full time Nurse in
Mississippi within the first two years following completion of the program. If contract is broken, funds
must be repaid, plus interest.
