McNair Scholars Program

The McNair Scholars Program is a federally funded TRIO educational grant designed to provide low-income, first-generation College Student and students from groups underrepresented in graduate education with effective preparation for doctoral studies. Students must be rising sophomores or lower junior Hunter students. Students must complete at least 60 credits while transfer students must have completed one semester at Hunter. Eligible students interested in pursuing graduate studies in an academic discipline at the doctoral (PhD) level are strongly encouraged to apply. Students must submit two letters of recommendation.
