Mary Van Pevenage Memorial Scholarship
High School Senior
Washington
Scholarship Description
The Mary Van Pevenage Memorial Scholarship has been established in 2016 in remembrance of Mary Van Pevenage and her family. Mary died at the young age of 21 years of a malignant brain tumor. She was attending college and was on her way to a happy life. She understood the importance of education in becoming a better person. Mary loved her family, Davenport High School, and her community; it is in recognition of the things she cared about that we, her parents and sisters and brothers, establish this scholarship. We want to support young people who understand the importance of education as a means of becoming a better person and the importance of supporting family and community.
