Scholarship Description

Are you an aspiring education major with an interest in the humanities? Well, if so, you’re in luck!

Each year, the Jack J. Isgur Foundation Scholarship is awarded to multiple passionate, rising college juniors and seniors who aspire to teach the humanities at the elementary and middle school levels. Preference will be shown to individuals who aspire to teach in rural, rather than metropolitan, areas of Missouri and Kansas. To apply, applicants must submit their answers to multiple essay questions, three (3) letters of reference, including two from professors or instructors who can speak to your potential as an educator, and one from a non-academic reference who knows them personally.

If you’re an aspiring educator hoping to make a difference in underserved communities, we encourage you to apply! Keep on reading to learn more.
