Scholarship Description

The Ivalu Scholarship was created to honor eligible applicants who are making noteworthy and influential contributions to their community through their community cultural service commitment of their personal time to projects and activities which strongly incorporate the Iñupiaq values. Applicant selected should serve as a role model of implementing and following the 12 Iñupiaq Core Values while performing community cultural service activities. The maximum amount for this award is up to $15,000 per school year (fall, spring, spring quarter, and summer terms) and is based on the student financial need. The scholarship will be awarded for four (4) consecutive school years for full or part-time status or enrollment. The scholarship will be awarded beginning the fall term following the deadline. One scholarship is awarded each year.
