The Altmans support numerous efforts to improve education and research for the industry. Altman Plants supplies plant programs to large retailers with point of purchase materials, sales reps to assist with merchandising, a large distribution system that covers the U.S., and offers expertise in growing plants. Each year one student will be awarded this scholarship. It is an annual scholarship, although the same person may receive it a second year should their application score the highest.

This scholarship honors the late Paul Ecke, Jr. of Encinitas, Calif., who made indispensable contributions to the advancement of the global floriculture industry. Among his many interests was concern for the future of floriculture, as influenced by innovative research and educational programs. He recognized that creative scientists and educators are required to lead the floral industry in the 21st century and beyond. Each year, one student will receive $5,000 for two consecutive years, providing that they continue to meet requirements for this duration and submit an annual update.

Dissertation Year Fellowships are intended to encourage historical scholarship of the public career of Harry S. Truman or the Truman era. This fellowship is intended to free a doctoral student from teaching or other employment to facilitate completion of his or her dissertation. Preference will be given to projects based on extensive research at the Truman Library, but since the research is presumed to be complete, there is no requirement of residence at the Library during the fellowship year. A maximum of two $20,000 grants are given annually; awards are payable to the student in two installments, September and January. Completed applications should be submitted to the Committee no later than February 1. The Committee’s funding decision will be announced by the first week of April. The Committee reserves the right to withhold the making of any award if the quality of the applications does not justify it.

Open to undergraduates and graduate students up to the masters degree level with preference given to undergraduate students. Eligibility is open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents who are enrolled in a U.S. - based institution. This scholarship provides $3500 annually to one student for summer study in the field. Study may be for credit or beyond the regular course of study. The specific course of study and the location are chosen by the student. Projects may include but are not restricted to plant propagation, photographic documentation of studies and research projects, the acquisition of skills for working with horticulture collections, and research in horticulture in the broadest sense.

Purpose To further the study of public horticulture through experiential learning that takes place at a recognized public garden, botanic garden, arboretum, or other closely aligned public horticulture institution within the United States. Education Open to students enrolled in a graduate-level university program to study public horticulture. Student must confirm ability to conduct research or otherwise utilize facility where study will be undertaken. Eligibility Eligibility is open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents who are enrolled in a U.S.-based institution. Provisions Funds one or more students annually at $5,000 for practical research and training at a recognized public garden, botanic garden, arboretum, or other institution directly engaged with connecting people, plants, and gardening within the United States. Monte Mitchell Scholarship More than $1,500 This scholarship honors Monte Mitchell’s service of more than 40 years to the Aircraft Electronics Association and the general aviation industry. Mitchell first served as the AEA executive director and later as president of the association from 1977 to 1996. Under Mitchell’s leadership, the AEA Educational Foundation was created in 1990 to enhance, promote and secure the future of aviation and the AEA by furthering the education of students, technicians and members of the AEA. It will be awarded to an AEA member employee. The scholarship will cover a full AEA Convention registration along with travel and hotel expenses. The award recognizes an AEA member employee for their exemplary job performance and pursuit of professional development. This is an annual award to be given prior to the AEA International Convention and Trade Show. APPLICATION PROCEDURES A complete application will consist of the following: 1. Letter of recommendation from current employer. 2. A brief essay written by the applicant outlining how he or she would benefit in their job by attending the 65th AEA International Convention and Trade Show.

Each year, Vertical Flight Foundation (VFF) scholarships are awarded to college students enrolled in programs related to vertical lift engineering and demonstrating an interest in pursuing careers related to vertical flight technology. The Foundation scholarship awards are made possible solely by tax deductible donations that have been established and contribute to an endowment. The VFF scholarships are solely merit-based and the value of the scholarships range from $3,000 up to $6,000 (USD). The program is open to full-time students attending a university or college located anywhere in the world and regardless of a student's nationality. To be eligible for a scholarship: - Students enrolled in programs related to vertical lift engineering and who show interest in pursuing a career in vertical flight technology. - A student does not need to be a member of the Vertical Flight Society, but we encourage you to explore the many benefits student membership can provide. - High school students are not eligible. - All applicants must be full-time students at the time of application (February). In addition, the student must be registered in the relevant engineering degree program at least one (1) academic term after the scholarship awards, which are presented at the Society's Annual Forum in May. - Technical disciplines related to complex aeronautics engineering or aviation systems, even if not considered vertical lift engineering, will receive equal consideration. - A student can receive an award once as an Undergraduate, once as a Master's student, and once as a Graduate student.

“The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund,” is open to United States citizens, both men and women, single or married, irrespective of race, creed, or color. The age limit is between 18 and 35 years. Award amounts vary annually and range from $500 to $5,000 per recipient. At the discretion of the Committee, these may be awarded in quarterly installments. Montana State University awards several million dollars in scholarships and waiver awards to new students who enter in the fall of each year. You might qualify for some of these scholarships based on your academic record, financial need, group affiliation, or a combination of the three. If you qualify, some scholarships and awards are automatically awarded when you are offered admission to Montana State University. The School of Art awards a minimum of 2 $3,000 scholarships every year to high school seniors based upon portfolio requirements. The scholarship is based primarily on a portfolio review of an uploaded PDF of work, grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher, and a short essay. Portfolios should consist of 10 works and all work must be submitted electronically with the application (as a single PDF file), no photographs or original work will be accepted. The essay requirement should be approximately 1 page single-spaced essay based on the applicant’s personal art experience and what you hope to gain in your chosen art profession. The Cox Scholarship, sponsored by the ASA Committee on Women in Statistics and Caucus for Women in Statistics, was established in 1989 to encourage more women to enter statistically oriented professions. Two scholarship recipients are selected each year: one to a woman in or entering the early stages of graduate training (MS or PhD) and one to a woman in a more advanced stage of training. Scholarship recipients receive $1,000. The committee also selects honorable mentions each year if applicable. The Dan and Vicky Hancock Scholarship for Mechanical Engineering Excellence, established by Dan and Vicky Hancock, provides financial support for students pursuing college degrees in the field of mechanical engineering. A Kettering graduate, Dan enjoyed a 43-year automotive engineering career at General Motors where he served as Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances. A longtime SAE member, Dan is an SAE Fellow who served on the SAE Foundation Board of Trustees, the SAE International Board of Directors and is the former SAE International President. In 2011, Dan was elected to the National Academy of Engineering - one of the highest honors an engineer can receive.

The Donald and Barbara Mozley Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing an engineering degree at an ABET-accredited college or university. Don Mozley was a renowned broadcast journalist who spent 62 years working for CBS Radio and KCBS/74 in San Francisco. Hired by CBS in 1942, Don covered such historic events as WWII, the atomic bomb tests at Bikini the presidential campaigns of Nixon and Eisenhower, and the Senate race of Robert Taft. He received the Excellence in Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists' Northern California Chapter in recognition of his distinguished broadcasting career.

The Geiger Scholarship offers financial support for students interested in expanding their educational horizons through off-island enrichment and travel experiences, including summer camp, semester study abroad, and gap year programs. The application portal opens September 1st, 2025, and closes March 1st, 2026. Students are eligible for up to 4 Geiger Scholarships: once in grades 6-8, once in grades 9-12, once in college and once for a gap year. Recognizing the need for a well-educated workforce, Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and the Idaho Legislature established the Opportunity Scholarship to remove barriers to higher education and prepare college/university graduates to enter the workforce. My dad was a welder for much of his life and was passionate about the skilled trades. He was also concerned about the gap in the need for skilled tradespeople and the number of people pursuing this career path. In honor of my dad, we have established the Uniball's Skilled Trades Scholarship. With a focus on helping the next generation of welders pay for trade schooling, we will also consider all applicants pursuing a skilled trade such as electricians, plumbers, and more. The ideal applicant for this scholarship: Will be or is going to a trade school – welding, electrician, plumbing, etc. Has overcome some personal adversity. Is a high school senior or currently at a trade school.

Dylan’s Journey Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one student with Neurofibromatosis (NF) and/or a learning disability of any variety. High school, undergraduate, and graduate school students are eligible to apply. To apply, either submit a video or write an essay that tells about your experience with NF or your learning disability, your motivation for pursuing higher education, and why you feel you are a good candidate for this scholarship.

As one small way to help the families of first responders, the A Heroes Family Scholarship exists to provide financial support for a current or former student who has lost a parent/guardian or spouse to an on-duty tragedy of a first responder. This includes those in law enforcement, fire, or the military. The scholarship is open to students at any education level, above and including, high school seniors. Those pursuing education at a 2 or 4-year college/university, graduate school, a professional certificate program, or a trade or vocational school are all welcome to apply.

MASWE = Men’s Auxiliary Society of Women Engineers MASWE was formed in 1968 by the husbands, brothers, fathers and colleagues who believed that engineering is a viable career choice for women and the cause needed support. MASWE is a tribute to men who supported women in engineering. It provides financial assistance to female students pursuing ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate programs in engineering, engineering technology, or related fields. The scholarship aims to empower women in STEM and recognizes their potential in engineering.

The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation International Scholarship operates in cooperation with the David Colegrave Foundation in London, England. Each year there will be an exchange of students between the U.S. and Europe, alternating between the two countries. Scholarship awards of $4,500 will be made. U.S. students should apply for this scholarship in even-numbered years (2022, 2024, etc.)

Benton County Farm Bureau is pleased to assist the youth of Benton County in pursuing further education. ​ELIGIBILITY: Be a Benton County resident and be currently enrolled or accepted to enroll this year at an accredited school of higher education. The applicant must show how their chosen field relates to, or benefits agriculture. CRITERIA: · Student must be studying Agriculture, Forestry or Ag related fields. · Full time student (minimum of 12 credits or units per quarter or term). · Two letters of recommendation will be required. One from a non-related teacher, and · one from a non-related adult. · Completed application form. An incomplete or late application will be disqualified. · Official transcript from most recent school attended. High School or College. · Signature. Application must be signed. ​SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: There will be at least 3 scholarships awarded up to $1000 each along with a Farm Bureau membership if qualified applications are received. ​

This scholarship seeks to honor the legacy of SrA Sams by supporting students that share an interest in the Civil Engineering field of study. Any undergraduate student enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college or university, seeking a degree in any of the several majors in the Civil Engineering field of study. High School students who are dual enrolled in colleges or universities as well as United States Air Force (USAF) personnel are also eligible.

Applicants must be a high school senior or undergraduate who has at least a 3.0 GPA. This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Solomon Vann by supporting students in Alabama who have encountered mental illness either themselves, a family member, a friend, or an acquaintance.

United States residents 18 or older who are planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a college degree program are eligible to apply. To apply, complete the entry form, which includes responding to an essay prompt in 500 words. This is a monthly scholarship and the deadline is the last day of each month from now through December 31, 2026
