The IPHC funds several Merit Scholarships to support university, technical college, and other post-secondary education. The scholarship fund has been established to assist the further education of Canadian and U.S.A. students connected to the Pacific halibut fishery. Generally, a single new scholarship valued at $4,000 (USD) per year is awarded every two years. The scholarships are renewable annually for the normal four-year period of undergraduate education, subject to maintenance of satisfactory academic performance. A Scholarship Committee composed of industry and Commission representatives reviews applications and determines recipients based on academic qualifications, career goals, and relationship to the Pacific halibut industry.

The Future Green Leaders Scholarship supports students who are committed to creating a more sustainable world through business innovation, scientific research, or community-driven action. High school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply if they’re pursuing studies in business, environmental science, sustainability, or related fields. This scholarship seeks to honor the legacy of SrA Sams by supporting students that share an interest in the Civil Engineering field of study. Any undergraduate student enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college or university, seeking a degree in any of the several majors in the Civil Engineering field of study. High School students who are dual enrolled in colleges or universities as well as United States Air Force (USAF) personnel are also eligible.

The Rick and Sherry Murray Medical Futures Scholarship is for students who have or have had a spouse, parent, or grandparent diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and who want to pursue a degree in the medical profession as a result of their experience. Applicants must be a legal resident of Florida who is the spouse, child or grandchild of a person who has been diagnosed with ALS. Applicants must be currently majoring in any medically-related degree or attending any medically-related certification program and must attend or be accepted to school full-time at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school located in the U.S. Students must have a minimum overall 2.5 GPA. Applications generally open in March and run until the due date.

The Health Care Education Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Church of the Brethren who are pursuing degrees in healthcare-related fields. Funded by the Health Education and Research Endowment, this scholarship supports students in programs for Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and other health professions.

Every year Massachusetts Youth Soccer accepts nominations for awards to recognize people who give their time and energy to make the sport better. Each year, the recipients of the awards are chosen by a committee from Massachusetts Youth Soccer and honored at the Mass Youth Soccer Annual Appreciation Night

This scholarship aims to support students whose lives have been touched by their beagle dogs so they can pursue higher education. Any high school senior or undergraduate student in North Carolina or South Carolina who has a beagle may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but students going to Western Carolina University are preferred.

United States residents 18 or older who are planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a college degree program are eligible to apply.
