Chris Jackson Computer Science Education Scholarship
This is some text inside of a div block.
The greatest gift Chris had was that he always made the time to not just talk to you, but to be in that moment with you. He made you feel important because you had his full and undivided attention when you spoke to him, and he would always be the first to ask how he could help.

Chris was also an amazing father to his daughters Abby and Lily, a doting husband to his wife Karen, and a great friend to many people.

What most people don't know about Chris is how much he struggled to afford his degree in his early years. That degree ultimately helped him build a rewarding and impactful career in technology.

Sadly, Chris passed away in the fall of 2020. To honor his spirit and legacy, the Chris Jackson Computer Science Education Scholarship will support undergraduate students who are pursuing a computer science degree. The scholarship will be awarded twice a year.

WICHE Professional Student Exchange Program
This is some text inside of a div block.
WICHE's Professional Student Exchange Program (PSEP) enables students in 12 Western states and Pacific Island jurisdictions to enroll in selected out-of-state professional healthcare programs and pay reduced tuition. States typically fund students to enroll through PSEP if a professional healthcare program is not available at one of their in-state public institutions. The following professional degree studies are supported through PSEP: Dentistry (DDS or DMD); allopathic medicine (MD); occupational therapy (MOT); optometry (OD); osteopathic medicine (DO); pharmacy (PharmD); physical therapy (DPT); physician assistant (degrees vary); podiatry (DPM); and veterinary medicine (DVM). Applicants must be certified as residents of their home states; application process varies by state.

Health professionals are in high demand, especially in underserved rural areas of the West. Educating more students for careers in healthcare is crucial. But it doesn’t make fiscal sense for less populous states to create their own programs in every health care field. With out-of-state tuition for some health care programs often exceeding resident tuition by over 300 percent, this can be daunting for tomorrow’s health professionals. It may saddle them in debt, force them to leave their community for more lucrative opportunities, or discourage them from pursuing a passion to heal.
