The Minnesota Association for Korean Americans (MAKA) is awarding a limited number of scholarships to Minnesota high school seniors of Korean origin/heritage who plan to pursue a higher education. These scholarships are intended to enhance the positive self-esteem of students of Korean heritage and to encourage their pursuit of a college degree. All interested individuals are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible for these scholarships, you must: - Have graduated from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program; - Have an underrepresented racial and/or ethnic heritage (i.e., American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Middle Eastern/North African, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, and/or multi-ethnic with 50% representation from this list); - Have earned a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA in your PT program; - Attend an ABPTRFE-accredited PT residency program within the U.S.; - Be a U.S. citizen or have DACA status; and - Remain in good standing until the completion of the residency program.

This scholarship is given to an advanced-level undergraduate or a graduate student with an academic and/or research focus in a field related to imaging. The applicant must be an undergraduate who has completed two academic years of study or a graduate-level student. He or she must be a full-time student at an accredited institution pursuing an academic degree. The acceptance of this scholarship does not preclude the acceptance of additional fellowships, assistant positions, scholarships, or similar awards. The Society may bypass the award if there is no candidate judged suitable by the committee. Applicants do not have to be members of IS&T.

ASAP is a need-based, state grant ranging from $300 to $5,000 per academic year. Eligible students are undergraduate students who are Alabama residents attending eligible Alabama institutions. Nearly 80 Alabama institutions participate in the program. To apply please submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal government. This form should be filed beginning October 1 each year and is available on the FAFSA website or the financial aid office at the institution you plan to attend.

Students must be admitted to Boise State as degree-seeking to be considered for scholarships. The ConnectHER Film Festival is an international youth competition that welcomes short films about issues that impact women and girls. Filmmakers must be 13 to 25 years old at the submission date. That means that scripts, storyboards, directing, cinematography, editing, etc., must be done by people who meet this age requirement. Actors can be any age. Films must be 3 to 6 minutes long. All films must be subtitled in English. Any gender can submit a film as long as the topic addresses critical issues related to advancing women and girls.

The Utom River Conservation Fund is managed by a consortium of groups* that are dedicated to protecting the Utom River and its watershed in southern California. In an effort to further protections and interest for this remarkable landscape the Utom River Conservation Fund is dedicating a portion of its funds to students that share their passion for the natural world and the cultural integrity of the area. Applicants must be attending an accredited college or university and enrolled in a master or PhD degree program (out of state accepted) and the project or research must be specific to the Utom River Watershed. One young scholar with entrepreneurial spirit will receive $2,500 to continue their education. Applicants must be a high school senior, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student attending a U.S.-based high school, trade school or university while maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. To apply, complete the application form, create a short, 2-minute video explaining how entrepreneurship will impact your life, and submit a sample business plan.

The scholarship, similar to other no essay scholarship opportunities, will be awarded to the student whose profile is most bold, according to these characteristics. Students at any education level, school, field of study, and GPA will be considered.

The $25,000 “Be Bold” Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship that will be awarded to the applicant with the boldest profile. Students at any education level, state, field of study, and GPA will be considered. Being the boldest doesn't mean “best”, or “most accomplished”. Scholarship is open to students accepted to a college or enrolled in an undergraduate or optometry school in the fall. Applicant must submit an essay on how they plan to use their education to serve the community.

Born December 17, 1922 in Athens, Illinois, Vincent T. Wasilewski would become the 18th President of the National Association of Broadcasters in January 1965. Wasilewski entered the University Of Illinois College Of Engineering in 1940, but World War II would interrupt his studies. He served in the US Air Force from September 1942 until October 1945, and returned to the University at the close of the war. He switched to political science and received his bachelor’s degree in 1948, followed by a degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence the following year. Wasilewski joined the NAB’s legal staff in 1949, where he spent his entire professional career. Like any true broadcaster, Wasilewski was no stranger to public service, having served on the Board of Directors of the Advertising Council, the Advisory Council on Federal Reports and the American Advertising Federation.
