The awards may be given annually to a student in either the junior category (grades 6-8) or senior category (grades 9-12) for an appropriately prepared genealogy. Each applicant should submit a genealogy in a biographical narrative format for one family line; include four generations, beginning with you, as the first generation. You may use a biological, adoptive, or foster parent, or guardian for the second generation.
Students worldwide are eligible to apply, and no NGS membership is required. Students must apply under the appropriate age/grade award and provide a submission that is in english in order to be considered for the award.
